no cars are rare, duping killed it.

edit: if you gold the vettle challenge you get the Prototype X2010, i have 1 and i dont see many when im in X2010 lobbies

Alright. Well. That sucks. Because I don't play online. Like ever. So before all the duping and what not. What was rare? So I can have the satisfaction of saying I worked for it. And I can't gold the vettle challenges with a controller.

mygranturismo.net than go to cars and they have a rarity thing that will show u all the rarest cars. All the 10 are rare cars

wait, you counted all the times you've seen a car in the UCL. Can't help but feel that would be annoying...
I didn't count them, no. Many of the good folks here on the GTP forums have recorded which cars they've seen. They post their databases here. I collect those databases, do some number crunching, and then put them on a website. The Used Car Dealership Search is pretty cool, if I do say so myself. :)

I agree with Teddy on both accounts. 'Rare' and 'I don't want to own' are hard to decipher on the mygranturismo website. Also, duping killed rarity. And they figured it out so soon, that there was no way to tell what was rare before they started spamming everything.

I think each account has it's own "rare" cars...

In my UCD for example... I've seen only twice the Camaro LM Race Car, and only ONE VW Nardo...

I've been on the lookout for a BMW M3 GTR road car for a long time. I saw it once
very early in my GT5 life, but didn't have the money for it at that point :grumpy:

Same here on both!
I think the Nardo is pretty rare, even by today's standards. I bought mine months ago, and haven't ever seen another one come through the UCD.

I actually DISlike the Online Car Dealership. It takes cars that use to be rare, and turns them into mass production items.

If you still want one add me on PSN. I have 3 stock M3 GTRs. Phenomenal car.

There are two truly rare cars in the game. This is based upon how hard it is to get them and therefor how likely it is that you have them.

The 370Z Tuned(GT Academy) can only be gotten through a ticket it can't be bought or won however in can be traded so duping has likely increased it numbers, but that it is an unexciting car not sot after except by collectors.

The X1 Prototype can only be won in a very difficult challenge and can not be traded. This is probably the most rare car overall.

Every other car can be bought at some point therefor you will always have a chance to get them.

The Ford GT '02 has a 10 rarity in mygranturismo.net and I remember many people wanting it. I personally have one.

Yeah, just bought the Alfa 155 TI yesterday. The only time I remember seeing it after months of playing the game so I snapped it up :sly:
Love that car.

ugabugaz
It was in the OCD for the longest time.

Well if you read the rest of this thread. You would know that I don't have the ability to play online. So obtaining cars has be done through the ucd and not the ocd

Wtf ur list say that I concept is number 1 rare. I was trying to trade one for something and everyone kept telling me it's not rare at all. I also bought another ford gt 02 to trade but that stupid 1 million limit screwed me

It's possible that the car was available in the online car dealership, thereby making it less rare amongst traders. The list only refers to what's rare in the Used Car Dealership.

Mygranturismo.net i not a good source for know what is rare, only what people want and people who bother to take the time to go to Mygranturismo.net and fill the list out.

Unless otherwise indicated each car is equally rare.
