I'm seeing so many of these awesome vehicles and think they deserve their own thread, heck I'm sure there are many people on this site who've never heard of a rat rod before let alone seen what one looks like. They come in several types and styles, from hot rods to passenger cars to trucks, matt black to rust, hidden engines to wild exposed engines, chopped, channeled, sectioned, the list is endless!
^(Yes the exhaust is on the top and intake on the sides!)
^(Definitely the lowest/shortest car I've ever seen!)
The next five are part of a club called The Frankensteiners and they show up at the local car show every saturday.
(These two are owned by a good friend of mine. He even customized his girlfriend's VW Bug into a sort of rat rod (below))
