From what I've heard it's a very good action platformer in the same style as the 2 previous games.

I own RC 1&2 and especially the 2:nd is a kickass game. Haven't played the new one yet but plan to get it.

My brother just rented it a while ago. I'll play it soon and see how it is. I also own and love the first two (especially #2).

Mine arriving probably tomorrow, along with Killzone and Ace Combat 5. Weeeeeee!!!!:D

Why are you buying games this close to Christmas? Dingus!!! That's what family is for (:

A friend of mine highly recommends the older two, so I'll have to hook it up after Christmas, baring I don't get them for Christmas.

Ok so mine arrived yesterday, I played just the first mission so far, and tested the online mode. The game feels much like Ratchet 2, same loading animation when you´re travelling to another planet, same controls (although now you can use First Person mode and a Strafe mode that´s just like Socom), and same things to get. It´s like I´m still playing Ratchet 2, like an extra mission. I never played the first one, so I don´t know if it´s any different from the other two.

The online mode seems to be great, I only played for 20 minutes or so, but it was enough to see that is well shaped. I´ll try to play some more this afternoon, and if I find anything new I´ll post it here.

The Quality of the Online mode is what this game is most worth getting for, I think - other than that it really is a bit of an extra mission set, but the online mode of R&C3 is the best thing the PS2 has going for itself against Xbox' Halo 2 ... :D Have to get this game too sometime. 60fps AND headset support, capture the flag, conquer, vehicles, magnetic shoes, etc. sounds like great fun ... !

Yet, there were less than 50 people online when I joined. :indiff:

I agree the online mode is really good, but the 8 players limit and the lack of people playing on the server can kill it really quick. I don´t know, maybe it´s just empty during the week, I´ll play this weekend to see if there´s more people there. I mean, Killzone had more than 500 people online when I played yesterday, and Socom II has always 15000+, it was kind of a let down when I entered Ratchet´s server.

I have only modem-connection so I can't play online. :(

But what I have heard, has been only good. In Finland game has got only over 9s (4-10) from reviews so it must be good! And I loved other 2 parts.

There were all of 3 other people online when I started playing Auto Modellista. Kind of depressing. I want to get R&C3, but I don't want to pay $50 for it.

Oh but it is worthed.

I was playing it just now, and it´s awesome! At first the game looks just like Ratchet 2, but when you get to play some more you can clearly see that there´s a lot of improvements.

The new weapons are really cool, you can upgrade them more than once unlike Ratchet 2. There´s these Capn. Quark mini games too. They are so fun that they could be a full game alone. And the game runs so smooth all the time, 60 frames constantly, and it has such beautiful and well done graphics. Insomniac team can take the best out of the PS2, that´s for sure.

It´s the best platformer game on the PS2 in my opinion, and one of the best games of 2004.

Get it now! 👍

Ratchet and Clank3 is really worth buying. It's not much different from R&C2:Going Commando, but the minor flaws of the second part have been improved. The game doesn't have any of those annoying ambushes, that were regular in R&C2, and the enemies are much easier to kill, which is great because the point of the game is to blow **** up. I haven't been able to play it online yet, because I don't have an internet adapter (will get one on christmas), but I have played it splitscreen with my friends. Fabulous. :D

Btw, wasn't the name Ratchet and Cland3: Up your arsenal, abandoned? Because the box of my Ratchet and Clank3 just says Ratchet and Clank3...

Good for you, it´s worthed. I need a headset for christmas. You should get one along with the NA also.

May depend on your region - I'm still seeing "Up your ARSEnal" television commercials in the States.

i got it this weekend, for some reason the game i got doesnt like expansion memory cards, it wouldnt let me use the controller with it in, then only let me save onto the expansion where, as i got halfway through the game, deleted my save file, now i gotta start again

I rented this over the weekend and played for about 30 minutes. It seemed like a good game with lots of potential. The many weapon possiblities and multiple enemies seemed fun. I didnt play enought to give a full review.

Did you know, Game Informer gave this a 10? That was enough reason for me to rent the game. It's pretty cool, too.
This should be enough reason for you to buy the game.

I just got R&C 3 and Jak 3 in a promotional bundle for 75$ CAD.

kickass games. I'd say they rank right up there with the best the PS2 has to offer. They were good enough to pry me off of Snake Eater, Halo 2 multiplayer and Ace Combat 5.

Highly recommended. 👍

the weapon upgrades are amazing!
