It's a 2nd generation Ford Probe.
The Probe in general was originally Ford's idea of a Mustang replacement, but they changed their mind due to the bad feedback Mustang fans gave them.

Is it bad that I really really like these?

7/10. I actually like all the box cars (even the second-gen xB), and the Cube is no exception. Not quite as neat as the generation before it, but a unique and endlessly practical car nonetheless. Wouldn't mind having one if it didn't have a CVT.
