Hello everybody , so i just wanted to ask , wich of challenge is hardest to earn GOLD and how long does any1 took to get platinum from GT5?

I haven't gotten platinum in GT5, but I would imagine the X2010 challenge is the hardest thing to gold in the game.

Hardest challenge: S.Vettel X Challenge (if you're using a controller), Grand Tour Eiger Nordwand Time Trial (overall hardest in my oppinion)
Hardest trophy: Air of Experience (since you need 500 B-spec races, I finished B-spec with 205)

The most challenging events are by far and away the Vettel X2010 challenges. But beyond it just takes lots of time to get to lvl 40 A-Spec and B-Spec, getting gold in all A-Spec or B-Spec events, 500 races on one B-spec driver, and getting 1000 cars in your garage.

I've been doing GT5 pretty steadily from early April until about 2 weeks ago when I hit the wall. There are just 4 things left for me to do to get the platinum, and each one at present seems insurmountable. No glitching or rubberbanding A Spec when it worked, but did remote race for CR. I have 1023 unique cars, all license golds and 40/40 (a long time ago), and everything else except the following:

- Vettel (haven't spent much time on it yet)
- Alfa at Eiger in Grand Tour
- Dream Drifter
- AMG full lap dry

I've kinda given up and resorted to starting over just for the racing (not a big fan of online racing, it's either kids or great drivers with awesome tunes perfect for that lobby).

I would have much rather PD made A and B spec harder and longer than dropping in these challenges that >1% of people can finish.

Time to take a break I suppose. But would like to see what they do for 1.11.

Grand Tour Eiger Nordwand Time Trial is really so hard? i didint tryed it but damn ... Why is it so hard?

That took me quite a few tries as well. It's just a very technical course, with a powerful RWD drive car, and the time tolerance is very tight for gold.

I have 3 trophies left to get for platinum:

L40 A spec - I'm about to hit L39, so I just need to do a bit more grinding
Gold Standard - just need to gold Vettel on Nurb and Grand Tour on Eiger
1,000 cars - I'm up to like 950, with all but 8 standards, so I really just need to take the time to start buying the rest of the premiums.

So far the hardest thing I've golded is the Vettel on Suzuka, probably took me 8-10 hours spread over 2 weekends. Monza was a piece of cake compared to Suzuka. I've barely spent any time on Nurb so far, so I can't comment on whether it's easier or harder than Suzuka. I had put a few hours into the Ground Tour Eiger event before I decided to take a break. I can't remember how close I got, but I can't imagine that one being near as hard as Vettel Suzuka.

The Air of Experience and the GTR record were the most overrated trophies. I got the Air of Experience after about 300 races with my first bob. I had read some people claim the GTR record was harder than the Vettel, but I think it only took me 3-4 laps to do it.

All of them are hard.... you have to practice a lot to win them.

The most difficult for me was the Alfa Romeo at Eiger. The most boring was the Vettel... IMO.

All of them made me happy, when I finaly manage to win :). All of them will teach you to be a better driver, if you are not, already. So, it's definitely worth the effort.

Now, I'm a happy platinium owner..... looking for good online rooms.

I think I've made a bit of a goof with getting platinum. I am now level 31 but haven't got the spend everything trophy now with roughly 2 mil with all the cars I need to get to level 40. Been buying a lot in the ucd but need days to change what's available and I can't seem to spend what I earn with a race.

I had the same problem, I just bought one of the 20 Million cars, you end up with 0 credits after that.

Personally, I thought the Vettel challenge was the hardest obstacle overall, required many many hours of playing until I managed to gold them. A couple of the grand tour events had me stuck for a little while, Eiger and is it Toscana? The one with the Lamborghini chasing down the Ferrari, it's so long since I done them I forgot. Rest was pretty easy, used a DS3. 👍

The Air of Experience
Raise a B-Spec driver to the peak of his career

So I have got my bobs to do remote races. Can I still achieve this trophy with them or do I need to get a new bob?

Whell , i'm using G27 and i got gold at vettel suzuka circuit , other i didint tryed . But all those mercedes challenges and sebastian loeb and others takeing me at least 1 hour to make them ;S so i think all challenges are hard ;/

In difficulty order:
SV:Suzuka
SV:N'ring
Grand Tour: Elger
SV:Monza

The rest are either time consuming (like reach lv40 a/b-spec) or extreme boring like 24h endurance.
The licenses and the rest of the special events cause are short and fast, isnt a big hassle....like the bloody SV challenge that you start from the pits and you have to do 2 laps.

Unfortunately, the remote races don't count for this trophy. One Bob has to do 500 races in the real B Spec Get ready for a lot of Sunday Cup!

Just got platinum, so very happy! :D Vettel at Suzuka was the hardest, I did nurb last so it seemed pretty easy, and I can remember some of the grand tour being pretty bad. Also back when I was a sixaxis user (before DS3), i found IC-10 Licence test a bit hard, just a bit (not!).

WEll i have done SV suzukua on gold , so i left nbring , monza and gran tour with alfa :/ any tips for grand tour alfa challenge ?

Don't use any aids other than ABS 1, TCS costs too much time! don't use stability control! Use a rear break bias, whatever suites you. If you are using KPH, in the sweeping round bend before the tunnel, don't let your speed drop below 90 kph, break into that bend at the beginning of the sand/ dirt on the left bfore the bend. For the last when you exit the tunnel tap the breaks when the car goes into the dip (I remember there being a dip in the road). you want to go around the bends after the tunnel on the limit, almost at the point where you'd say "phew" after you get through it. For the last section its all about your driving line. I kept left cutting the edge of the slight left, I braked just before hitting the sandy bit. Try watching you speed to remember if the car has the grip at that speed to go around the bend. A wide line and cut in to the apex. Use manual gears, Watch your speed so you know your at the limit, you can feel fast but be 10-20 kph too slow. This is important for the twisty bit at the start too.

Good luck, when I did this I had just bought a DFGT, and learned to use it golding this challenge, I thought the wheel was why it was hard, now I know differently. Isung the DS3 I was about 0.7 seconds off gold, using x and box, so accelleration and breaking control is important. Long reply..... sorry ;)
