Hey guys. I am working on a possible new logo for my web site, The Aviation Forum, as the one I have isn't that great. This is one of the possibilities I like...tell me what u think.

How about a bi-plane draging a flag that said "The Aviation Forum" or "www.aviationforum.org" or somethings....
An animated gif with it flying accross the screen..![]()

That sounds like a good idea, but I think it would be rather difficult to make it actually look good.

Decrease your JPEG compression. The whole issue of "bleeding" is one of the main reasons why GIF's are preferred for images with text.Originally posted by Stealth Viper
Yeah it would. I don't know if I wanna move the cessna to the center, I like it.
Can someone describe how to make the red text less sorta smudgy bleedy looking?

Just make 2 images, which you can mount together. Then you can JPEG-compress the pictures, and GIF the text. Also, switch off the antialiasing on the text, as JPEG compression adds an antialias effect anyway, since it is sine-wave compression.
