The release dates from websites other than Sony are considered speculation only. The release date is and continues to be "Q1 2005."

On a more serious note...Yes, there are more release dates floating around. Most are within the Q1-2005 window, some being in february and march, and a few in January...and heck, ones that say it's out already. My best advice to you: Look a little further down the page and you'll see a thread called "New GT4 Release Date" or something very similar. There's a massive discussion going on in there. One of the rules here is that if there's already a thread discussing the subject you're adressing, you post in it instead of making a new thread.

Wishing doesn't seem to do it around here. The search function has been mentioned many times by many people, and there's even a topic named "Look here before you ask!" with a big, blue "Read This" in front of it. When you click "New Thread" there's even a whole PAGE that opens up that tells you to use the search feature. And still threads like this one pop up and rarely get closed.
A solution could be getting more active moderators and possibly some more strict rules/discipline. But what do I know, I don't even have 100 posts yet.

that would be stupid in my opinion. I think the delay has most to do with some small diferences (remember Polyphony 001 and 002 in GT3 PAL and F1 094/H and others in NTSC). I believe there will be some internal shanges (Lutecia will be chaged to Clio 
, and so on).

the reason i said that is because everybody i know that has GT4 here in the states is having problems loading GT4 with swap discs (you need a Japanese PS2 or a MOD CHIP to play it) the game is a DUEL LAYER DVD, and i know 3 people that already purchased Japanese PS2'S so they can play it.

To be honest, that wouldn't be proper problem with loading. GT4 was released in japan (unfortunatelly for all us european and you american boys) and (apparently) plays normally on japan PS2. When it will be released for europe and america I'm sure it will work proper. Not wrking with swap disc or any other way except japan PS2 is not Sony/PD problem

(as I sit here looking at my pre-order card dated 11.24.04)PD will release it when they release it... Until a press release comes, I am not planning on any date other than Q1 2005 from the Sony website (I barely trust that)
