Drop the 2J's engine into the Z/28. 7.2L Aluminum-Block Chevy V8! It's like dropping a crate motor into the Z/28, so I guess it could qualify as realistic. :sly:đź‘Ť

That would be awesome but it may not work :indiff: I had issues putting MR motors in FR cars unless I used the drivetrain and chassis also..

I actually did that one already. I prefer the sound of the 302 with RE tho so i junked it. I might be able to transfer the racing exhaust code but whether it will sound proper or mess up the stock HP i'm not sure.
 
Any Honda swaps? I was thinking of doing an S2000 but i can't seem to find any engine worth swapping. The NSX's 3.2 isn't enough of an upgrade to make it worth while and the GT500 race engines might be a little overboard.

Hmm any ideas?

I did it with my Z/28 and had no problems. Just be gentle on the throttle. :scared: Fully upgraded, the 2J engine can pump out 1,100HP when thrown into the Camaro.

On topic: I thought of these engine swaps...
Eunos Roadster engine into AutoZam AZ-1
Daihatsu Copen engine into Daihatsu Midget II D-Type
Caterham Seven Fireblade engine into Fiat 500 F (small but very fast)
Suzuki GSX/R-4 engine into any K Car (closest we'll get to a Hayabusa-swap)
Toyota Sprinter Trueno engine into Toyota SPORTS 800
Honda Civic Type-R EK9 engine into Honda CITY Turbo
VW Golf GTi I engine into VW 1200 or VW SambaBus
Honda Civic '76 engine into Mini Cooper 1.3i
HPA Twin Turbo Audi TT engine and twin turbos into VW Golf R
Mazda RX-8 engine into Mazda Eunos Roadster.
 
Ok got one more.

NSX Type R '02 - ARTA super gt engine, drivetrain, Clutch, exhaust.

Matches up we'll with the stock transmission also. Just wish it sounded better.

Monster Miata (V8 Swapped MX-5/Miata/Roadster) at 400bhp.
Underground Tuning Gallardo and Aventador
Twin-Turbo ZR1 (Using F turbo so it behaved like a turbo) at 1200bhp. I still have it and it still works in 2.12
Chapparel dropped into a Ford Lightning to replicate a crate motor and F turbo'd it for 1000bhp

Then I proceeded to make general replica's from films, internet, stuff I'd seen in real life.

Hey do you wan't to PM me the details on the Lambo's. I'm not sure how to get big numbers out of them since they have no forced induction. I'm still quite new to all this so i'm learning as i go.

What about a C5 Z06 Corvette upped to 800hp with a C5R 427. It'd be a similar to the Lingenfelter C5

I actually didn't do this swap yet. I don't even know how to swap engines yet, but I thought that would be a realistic swap.

That's why you don't put race exhaust on it. Semi exhaust is what sounds good on all the Vette's. Can't do that with the C5-R .....unless i can swap the exhaust code.

Try the ZR1 RM engine. The sound was changed in an update to sound like a NASCAR-ish V8. Sounds awesome.

I did a LS7 swap in the C5 a couple days ago. 513hp i think. It runs better then the LS1 for sure.
 
I'm trying to make a Eclipse GSX AWD but having trouble finding a good motor. The real one has a 4G63 but the only one i see in the game is out of the FTO touring car and it's 483hp stock :(.

Anyone know a good engine for this?

Hmm, maybe the Callaway C12 or whatever, try that engine. I don't recall if it's the same engine as the C6 though. :nervous:
 
If your looking for a 4G63 look no further than a pre-Evo X Lancer or the 89 Galant 2.0 Turbo.
 
The 4G63 in the Evo's are a little different from what came in the GSX's but the differences are in reliability not power.

Hard to argue with race on the C2.
