EDIT: It's not the color it's the car.

I'm sure there's lots of controversy out there about what GT5 said about everyone getting a Redbull x2010 if Vettel wins. As I'm sure there's already a post about this on the forum some where but I couldn't find it. So how do you feel about this? Personally I don't mind. I bet one reason PD is doing this is because they're sick of hearing from people complaining how hard it is to win the Redbull. I think it will be good for those of us who have Carbon Prototypes. This will make the Protos even more cooler if everyone in a lobby is using the Red Bull S. Vettel. That does bring me to my next point of the fact that we'll see a lot more people using the Red bull. Which will be very annoying! So how do you feel about PD giving away a car that many people have worked hard for?

I dont mind I can never win that bleedin Vettel Challenge the X2010 is too hard to drive so I dont mind if I get one for free

IMHO...It would have been better if he had had this idea before the start of the season... not now that Seb. is only one point shy of the Championship...

The X1 now feels so cheap... It should have been a more special car... :indiff:

This will kill all of the open online community.

Agreed! This is what worries me the most.

@MoLiEG, I agree to a certain extent with this. The Vettel Strip is going to become a "cheap" car. But this increases the rarity of the other 2 X1's. Now being that you can purchase normal X1 but still it's going to be much more rare than the S. Vettel. Personally I think the Vettel looks coolest but oh well. The carbons cool too.

Indifferent. I'd rather see them unlock the Top Gear track so I don't have to suffer through the Lotus or Samba Bus challenges.

I don't care much for the car, I already have one and never use it. However, I found the idea of awarding it to everyone if he wins the Championship pretty cool.

LOL... the Nike One... I forgot about that one...

I'd love to see it in HD... :)

Let's wait to see what Spec II will bring to the table...

I wish they would have kept things how they were instead of daftly giving it about willy nilly, Put the hours in and earn it on b-spec its not that hard to do, It's a pointless addition to the game and will only attract people to use the car and this car alone online, Meaning the already broken multiplayer will be broken that much more.

It's not the x1 just the color of the vettel x1 I'm following Kaz. on Twitter

I don't care.. I have two already and don't use them. Its a nice gesture though.

Oh for goodness sake.. You get one for free anyway at lvl35, A or B spec.. You don't have to win any challenges to get it.

The only people that care are those that don't have one and those that think that all of a sudden they won't be able to get a decent online race due to hordes of noobs in X1's..
Sure, you may see a bit of extra X1 innundation for a few days, but soon enough the novelty will wear off and they'll get sick of crashing. Normal service will resume.
Besides, you can always set up restrictions in your lobby or find other like-minded players.

Also, if you think they're rare, you must be new to the game and/or these forums.

More X1's is only a good thing. Maybe there will be a few more X1 races online. At least this car isn't utterly boring on RS tires.

Meh. You can already get one without having to do anything much (B-spec 35), so whats the big deal if PD give away more of them?

Everyone pretty much has one already, so you can't expect for online lobbies to get any worse. Besides, you're getting it for free and don't have to do anything for it. You can't complain about that. :D

Ya Pops
No, it's the car.

There's no way to place a livery on a car in GT5, much less any way to put an X1 livery on anything except an X1.

It's the color of paint not the livery.

RT @Kaz_Yamauchi We’ll give away the “Red Bull X2010 S.Vettel” color, TO EVERYONE WHO LOGS ONTO GT5 WITHIN 1WK FROM VETTEL’S VICTORY… #gt5

Ha told you so. Lol

As much as I hate the kids who use them for ramming, I say X2010's for all.

The Vettel challenge is a 🤬 and B-spec is a bit boring this time around. I absolutely love driving my 2 X2010's as they provide that thrill you don't get in other cars, and think everyone should be able to own one hassle-free.

If the wreckless kiddies start invading online, though, then it's time to go back to starting my own lobby.

Edit: It's the car, not the paint. Giving out a single paint chip from the X2010 would be pointless and just plain stupid. Not to mention there is no such thing as an "S. Vettel" paint chip. By "X2010 S. Vettel color", Kaz only means you'll receive the S. Vettel X2010- not the "civilian" X2010 or the Carbon X2010.

Oh for god's sake...

Kid (and I can tell you are)...
First of all, a RedBull paintjob IS a livery.
Secondly, that tweet merely has punctuation issues that lead to your mistaken conclusion.
Thirdly, how would you expect to apply a RedBull livery designed for the (very oddly shaped) X1 to any other car and have it look right?

Please think carefully before you respond to this post :)

I just got rid of my metallic pink ( :yuck: ) one a few days ago. I guess a regular one wouldn't hurt to have. Bring on the X1s!

Ok its just the color blue called Vettel Blue as Kazunori Yamauchi(President of PD and creator of GT series) has said on Twitter over 20 times in both English and Japanese. Look on Twitter if you don't believe me

Oh dear, someone's gonna be either very happy or very dissapointed.. You really think they'd go to all the trouble of announcing a free blue paint chip?

I give up..

Well that's what Kazunori Yamauchi said. So I say yes.

Good idea but bad in practice. Unless their is a feature that excludes x1's from online events you can say good bye to online lobbies and track days. Every 10 year old is gonna have one now:(
