But really, the whole banning X1's from rooms is just stupid. If someone causes trouble, kick them. It's the driver, not the car. I don't know why people assume that the X1 turns drivers into maniacs. I've actually never had to kick an X1 driver. The only trouble causers I've faced in my rooms drive everything else.

You forget the problems of things like 250mph cars, which are always gonna cause an accident no matter how good the driver, and lap times. If you have ever tried to set a best lap time sweating in an unstable Zonda R trying not to crash, only to have some kid crash his Vettel X2010 into every wall and still beat you by 20 seconds, that is when I see red. I hate the arrogance of the car, it makes me want to punch a gerbil
 
People realize that you DON'T get an X1 at 35 A spec correct? I'm at level 36 A spec and have yet to see mine? If you are saying that then you haven't reached level 35 A spec.

It's only at level 35 on B-Spec :)

Chill dude didn't see your correction. My personal opinion on this is that I don't really care because it just makes the S. Vettel will just be more boring than it was before. As for the other X1's they'll look rarer by comparison. If you see 10 S. Vettel's in one room and only 1 or 2 prototypes what are you going to think? And there's many people out there that don't have them. No the prototype isn't "rare" but it's much less common than a S. Vettel, especially now.

I mentioned prototypes in the start of the thread and you told me they're not rare? How don't you see where prototypes come into this? I'm not SAYING you would be in that room. I wouldn't be either. It's a comparison open your eyes!
 
Why is this even a thing to care about? How many people don't already have an X1 at this point anyways? PD gives you one for basically doing nothing, and if you are feeling frisky you can just buy one outright.

What's the point? If you drive M3, and some guy crashing all over with his 787B beats your time, is that something to get angry about? No. You're using a slower car, in a game where damage can be disabled. Of course you're not going to set the best time.

And only bad drivers are going to cause accidents. I've used the X1 in rooms with slower traffic all the time. Just use the brakes, and no one gets hurt. If X1 drivers do this it's fine. If not kick them. If you can't drive the X1 through traffic without causing a pile up, you just can't drive. It's not like a non X1 car can't interfere with your lap time. Every car can drive the wrong way, every car can come out of the pits as you finish your warm up lap, and the inconsiderate driver can block you all he wants without concern even though his lap isn't being timed and your is. If you're driving a really slow car on CH tires, anyone in any car can come from behind and start pushing you because they think "oh hey, a slow car, this guy can't be driving seriously! I'll pushing him off the road!"

The X1 is nothing special. The guy who wrecks you, who happens to just be driving an X1 would wreck you if he was in a Mini. Bad drivers are the problem, and banning harmless cars won't get rid of them.
 
I already have 5 of them, why would I need another fake car that will stay in my garage collecting dust.

Then don't play GT5 for a week.....people are forgetting that we only get the car IF Vettel wins...if he does win and you still don't want a free car....don't log in.

I amazed at the backlash at PD for this. People say all the time they want more. This will be a free car if Vettel wins and people still are not satisfied????

Can't wait to see everyone's complaints when spec 2 gets here..........

And I think we will have lots of noobs again online with X1's.... though if someone comes up with a decent X1 race room that would be good.

Oh for goodness sake.. You get one for free anyway at lvl35, A or B spec.. You don't have to win any challenges to get it.

The only people that care are those that don't have one and those that think that all of a sudden they won't be able to get a decent online race due to hordes of noobs in X1's..
Sure, you may see a bit of extra X1 innundation for a few days, but soon enough the novelty will wear off and they'll get sick of crashing. Normal service will resume.
Besides, you can always set up restrictions in your lobby or find other like-minded players.

Also, if you think they're rare, you must be new to the game and/or these forums.

If Codemasters has got F1 rights, why do we have the F10 and F2007?
 
2007 isn't covered by the license agreement afaik, and Ferrari have special powers that let them get away with all kinds of shizzle ;)
 
Come on, I work my butt off to get this hypercar, then they announce they are giving them away free! This is intolerable!

I'm happy they are giving everyone an opportunity to get a free X2010. Why not? It wasn't like the car was special anyway in terms of rarity, with duping and all. With the exception of stealths and chromelines, just about every car lost its rarity ages ago.

I don't really mind having a third one, although I'd rather have one of the colored ones instead. And for what it's worth, I got my first X2010 through the Vettel challenge before the bronze time was raised, and I don't have a problem with people getting the car for free. :)
