(Although now that I think about it, Ryan must be slamming his head against a wall right now)

Sheesh, what is this!? "Bash Doug Night?"

Incidentally, I have 2 referrals, yet I don't remember ever referring anybody. Wow, I'm that good!
I have several referrals, all from referring myself in various forms.

Ohh yea I remember that. Hehe. So long ago. I must have talked to atleast 20 random Mazda owners since then.

Where the hell can I see who I referred? I can't find it...

What? Are you telling me you do not like The Shining?

The movie was horrible. I finally just stopped caring when she was running down the stairs in the end and found a clown and what looked like a human in a lion costume sitting in a hotel room. Jeez that was dumb.

Yup. Kubrick's worst... movie... ever... The book was so much better. I'll probably be burned in effigy for saying this, but Nicholson was totally the wrong person for that part. The thing about Jack is, from the moment he appears on screen in any movie, you just start counting the minutes until he snaps. So it was a foregone conclusion that he was going to freak out and try to kill everybody, and all you had to do was sit through it until he did. Whereas in the book, it's a much slower and more insidious decline into madness. The part should have been played by John Ritter or somebody normally quiet and harmless. It would have been 10x more effective.

Well I liked the movie and consider it a classic. You have to remember it's an old movie and Nicholson hadn't earned the reputation he now has.

But I see your point about Ritter. Only problem is, John Ritter is a buffoon.

I want to add that there are many ways to evaluate a movie. It definitely wasn't perfect. Visually it was stunning.

And Kubrick's worst was his last. Eyes Wide Shut. What a piece of crap.
