For those that haven't seen it yet, they've added two (I think) new hoppers to the multiplayer, one being for SUVs and the other limits users to the stock racing truck from this latest DLC 👍. Looking forward to racing in them both.

They've also added a Endurance Modern GT Hopper with Tyre Wear & Fuel w/ 2 Quickstops.

And......

This bad boy...too bad we can't get it yet.

Add this to the list of unicorns.
  1. 1973 Ford Escort RS1600
  2. 1977 Aston Martin V8 Vantage
  3. 2015 Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo GT3
  4. 1971 Ferrari 312P
  5. 2008 Ferrari California
  6. 1966 Nissan Silvia
  7. 1971 Ford Falcon XY GTHO Phase III
I reckon some of/if not most of these cars will be a prize for Forza Racing Championship. Turn 10 have said there will be other opportunities to win these cars and the FRC seems like the last big update for FM6 so it makes a lot of sense that they'd line-up these cars to incentivise people to play FRC.

More Possibilities for prizes for the FRC/Another Car Pack?
  1. 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo (on the mod card)
  2. 1970 Dodge Charger F&F (Dom's Charger, was only available for a short time w/Furious 7, could get a possible re-release?)
  3. 2011 Citroen DS3 (leak for October Car Pack)
  4. 1976 Chevrolet Monza IMSA (Forzavista Description)
  5. 1994 Peugeot 405 T16 (Forzavista Description)
  6. 1995 Porsche 911 GT2 (Rear spoiler in the trailer for Porsche Expansion)
  7. 2014 Savage Rivale GTR-S (Savage logo transfer disallowed much like Caparo's was)
Can't wait to see more from it, especially the updates next month. With this an FH3, Forza is looking very promising at the moment. Exciting time to be a fan.

They mention the chaparral 2j in Forzavista as well. 👍

Yes, I've read you really have to kick your foot in to get the brake to respond... :irked:
Indeed, imo its far too stiff. It cost me £15 to get the rubber stopper removed which I believe is good value

Pedal works a treat now. Full travel on what is still a stiff enough spring and full braking travel shown on all in-game indicators 👍

Thanks for the heads up. It's fine by me if I miss on extra cars but were any tracks given through DLC as well? I wonder why they didn't release an utimate/complete edition afterwards like PD did with GT5.

All the DLC for FM2 and 90% of it for FM3 can still be obtained via the "complete editions" that were released. Not sure the actual name they used. Unfortunately, no such release exists for FM4.

EDIT:
FM2 = The Complete Collection
FM3 = Ultimate Collection, which also included the new Stig's Garage pack in the form of a code. Used copies are unlikely to include it.

I think I need to add FM2 back to my X360 collection. They achieved a heckuva lot with just 2 games.

Thank you 👍 Now I will just need to find a copy, seems like it is going to be hard. I looked on Ebay and I could only find one listing for FM2 but it wasn't PAL.

Some potential bad news on that FM2 deal--the original 2008 announcement only mentions a North American release. I can't confirm if it was subsequently released worldwide.
I do remember that the US was denied the Collector's Edition at launch, so maybe the Complete Collection was a way to make up for that.

As far as the FM3 Ultimate Collection, that is confirmed to exist in PAL form:

Hi all :)

My pedals are back, minus the horrible rubber stopper in the brake pedal

Game on :D

Yes, I've read you really have to kick your foot in to get the brake to respond... :irked:

Personal preference to be fair, as I love the padding that is in the brake pedal for the G920 wheel. It was an modification I was going to perform on my G27 pedals though, as I never liked how 'soft' the brake pedal is; as it never afforded me any confidence with my braking. Though I did get used to it over time, I still very much prefer what Logitech did with the brake pedal on the G920 set.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Keep seeing people in various places state that it is too hard/impossible to drive in FM6 with a wheel, especially at 900°, and my usual type of Forza video does not show enough to disprove this. After all, I could have been using a control pad for all anyone knows. So I pulled out my Sony A58-K DSLR, and I then went about setting up a wheel cam for the first time ever.

The camera was in full manual control, the Shutter Speed, Aperture, and ISO settings are shown at the start of the video; and I used 'manual focus', as I wanted to keep said focus on the wheel without 'auto focus' interfering.

The car is a stock 2016 Shelby GT500R with TCS/STM/ABS turned off, wheel set to 900° and sim steering.

I am not saying that Forza 6's force feedback is good, far from it; it needs some serious re-working. But hopefully this finally proves a point.

I'd really like to know what Turn 10's intentions are with these sneaky unicorns. The selection seems totally random, yet they are included as if they are following a carefully orchestrated schedule. Seven cars correspond to a typical car pack. Make it happen. :D

Well, it'll be a long wait for me as my Xbox right now is in a box on a moving truck. I have to wait 2 weeks before my parents and I move into the new house they bought. I guess the good thing about this is that by the time I get my Xbox One back, the August dlc pack will probably be out along with the Forza Championship update or whatever it is.

....Wait a minute. Can this be a pack for August and for free!? :D Joking aside, I hope we get those cars soon cause FH3 is so near us.

Nice driving 👍 You're really hammering the pedals and gearbox there

Gotta love the precision a wheel gives you... these kind of turn angles are difficult on the controller w/sim steering, thanks to the stupid speed sensitivity, and turning angle tied to braking with a transparent wire...
Play PCars on Xbox with default settings, then come back to me with the results, and then complain about hidden assists.

Pleeese.... not that again! Why people feel the need to turn around and swing the other way by bringing up that stupid PCARS example??!

FM6 has unassisted countersteering when you keep sim on, but still keeps assists on for regular steering? The wheel becomes so nice, loose and maneuverable once you start sliding or get your tires in the grass/sand but on normal steering the wheel feels dead, your car just understeers and slides at the same time if you attempt to turn more. Sorry bro, cars do not handle like that IRL.. wheels do not jam in place while you witness your car understeering off the road...if they did, Ferrari and Lambo would be recalling all their mid-engined cars!

At least on normal, both are assisted. I can never get nice and deep turn angles when I brake late into corners... I hope you're not going to pull the PCARS card on that one too. Think back to the original F6 retail version... they had this terrible bug where the cars would slide unrealistically off the track on off-throttle... they toned that down a bit later, after people revealed on the forums how horrible the 430 S was to drive in the demo as well.

Forget PCARS for a second; why does the game prevent me from turning the wheel even 10-20% more when I'm negotiating a hairpin at 60 kph? I like how the speed sensitivity works to keep your car stable in a straight line but around turns, unless you negotiate turns how the game WANTS you to turn, you cannot get those deep, apex-hitting turns. Wheels let you do that, and so can the controller if T10 are generous enough to include a speed sensitivity adjustment just like the deadzones. I had no such major problems getting good turn angles in previous Forzas.

Anyway, no flame wars please. Everybody is enjoying the game for what it is, myself included, and that's the important thing. :D

I have a feeling that we may not actually be driving these cars until FH3. But that's ok, what a lovely environment in which to pop their Forza cherry :D

It was just a demo, but I played the demo to Forza Motorsport 6 today. Here are some of my thoughts...

I wasn't able to run a complete lap around the newer Rio de Janeiro track, but to have 24 cars on track on a course like this is amazing. I say the newer Rio track because I remembered doing Rio de Janeiro in Forza Motorsport 1. And this FM6 rendition is much more colorful and longer. Anyhow, I did Ford pretty bad having crashed and dinging up their newer Ford GT around the course. It was still an immensely gratifying experience.

Let me tell you something- I am a sim racer, but don't consider myself a hardcore sim racer. Having said that, I was amazingly impressed racing that Audi in the rain at Brands Hatch. I thought Project Gotham Racing 4 was impressive with rain. Man... doing Brands Hatch in the rain with puddles and such was insane! Racing in the rain or on wet tracks make a lot of proper sim racers look absolutely docile. And I'm thinking... I'm fortunate (yes, I'll use that word in this case) to race an Audi with 4WD around a wet race course. What would happen if I raced a more powerful, preferably rear-wheel drive and mid-engine car in the wet in this game?

All in all, I was quite impressed. Forza has come a long way. I was one of the first haters of the Forza Motorsport series after playing a demo of that game back then. Like, "THIS is supposed to be better than Gran Turismo? People would want to play THIS as opposed to Gran Turismo 4?" Over time, I grew to appreciate and admire and respect Forza Motorsport. This latest rendition may just be the best Forza ever. Then again, part of me still wants to get the first XBOX and play through Forza 1. Then maybe play some of the XBOX 360 renditions of Forza. But anyhow... had I an XBOX 360, Forza Motorsport 6 would DEFINITELY be in my collection.

This game could be great for me.
Everything seems perfect to me except trying to drive the game with controller.
Don't have a wheel but the controller skew seems bat-**** crazy to me.
Some cars I'm having trouble just driving in a straight line.

Funny thing is I can control all the other PC sims with a controller just fine.
This just kills what could be a really fantastic game for me.
Roll on GTS.

Rio is godly. I put it up against any of the signature Forza tracks like Sunset Peninsula and Maple Valley and maybe even Iberian. I miss these so much it hurts.

Rio even at the X class works. I had great times with LMP and Indycars with a full grid. Sure you need to be one your A game but hell... this isnt mario kart.

If Forza really that hard? I've been on sim steer, all aids off but manual clutchless since year dot and it seems fine.
