I have 30+ songs selected for racing music in the jukebox, but I keep hearing the same 7 or so songs over and over again. Anybody elese experiencing this and is there a fix?

Go into the jukebox, go to your playlist, and change the little icon on the right about half way down. That'll set it to shuffle mode.

interesting...

For me it just fills a void, i dont want to listen to a lame engine whine the whole race. The really need to work on the sounds, it would atleast be an improvement if they made the sounds deeper for engines.

i dont listen 2music cuase like most people they dont wanna look at the tach 2know when to shift. and most of the music is pretty boring. wide varys in music though. 65songs, then agian i wish u could uplload music into gt4. that would be the ultimate simualater lol. then agian thats why i have a car stearo skin for windows :)

I like to leave the stock exhaust on a lot of my cars, because more often or not they sound better, and racing exhaust always seems to sound the same no matter what car. SO i have my music turned off during races and listen to the sound of the car.

media player for me aswell. although normally only for messing about, the difficult races need concentration not tunes to nod along to.

If I could play the Japanese music, I would. But since we are stuck with American pop/rap/crap, I play my own music. Still need the engine sounds to know when to shift, of course. :)

Im just glad its not the repetative 1 track per race

Id go slightly more insane if i had to put up with sopmething as bad as feeder in a 24hour endurance!

Im glad i noticed some Judas Preist on the playlist \m/

I set all the classical/baroque/etc. songs for the Racing playlist, and turned off all the other songs (except for "Moon Over the Castle", of course).

BTW, any other US owners pissed off that "Panama" is the opening song?

Panama as in Van Halen? *rubs hands together*

Metal in a driving game i shall be in heaven :D

My PS2 is hooked up to my stereo which has a feature called game-mixing that allows me to listen to the game sound effects plus a CD or radio station through the same speakers. 👍 It's pretty cool listening to my favorite station while playing GT4. BTW, my stereo has 400 watts and a subwoofer, so the engine sounds are great to my ears. MMMM, Cobra. :)

I use my comp as a mixer to run mp3's and the game together. PS2 inputs to the line in on your computer, mix it with volume control on your comp. Pump the output to a stereo and voila! Perfect sound mix of game and music through the same sound system.

I find it tough to hear the music on default volume levels, and difficult to hear the car noises if I tweak it.
Same here, I had to turn my engine sounds way down to 10, and the music level up to 16.

I heartily disagree. Panama is the perfect song for the intro. And I like to play it during the game as well.

Oh wait, you would probably prefer J-pop (even though it doesn't fit the game at all)

I personally think the Japanese intro is incredibly lame, the song they have has no heart or soul to it. I'm glad they used Panama instead of that garbage they had on the Japanese version.

Potsy.

I get GT4 wednesday as in UK but in GT3 I usually don't have the music on as I just listen to the engine to know when to change gear. The only exception to this is the easier endurance race when I stick the hifi on. I think I will probably do the same in GT4.

Interested to note someone mentioned classical/baroque music in playlist I might change my mind if they stick some good examples of this in the soundtrack.
