And that is exactly what I was going at, Resistance, Unreal Tournament, Halo, et al, were not designed with a cover system in mind. These type of FPSs were designed to have constant movement take place with lots and lots of running and gunning going on. That is not to say both types of FPSs--in this case, one run and gun type and two with extensive cover systems-- do not have their merits, as both have their high and low points and can be thoroughly enjoyable games. In the case of all the recently mentioned games--Gears of War, Rainbow Six Vegas, and Resistance:Fall of Man--all are very good games and are games that just about any gamer should play and experience. It is just the case of two different categories of games within a specific genre of games and really almost a case of trying to comparing apples to oranges.

While I realize Halo don't have a cover feature I get that game more than I get resistance and Halo as a game is a lot less irritating/limited in what you can do. To me that would be fast run and gun.

As for regenerating health I don't mind it because I'd rather have a game playable than totally realistic and die every 2 seconds. Yeah, that comes down to skill but I know I'm not the best already and I want to be able to enjoy it which doesn't mean it can't be challenging at the sametime. BTW, just because there's a cover system doesn't mean it has to be the same in every game.

You know what... I'm sorry but this game just sucks in every way possible. I gave it a chance and even tried online but I'm HAPPY to return it to the rental store. That will be the last time I rent too... $0.25 for insurance? lame... $8 well wasted I suppose.

I'd say the same for Resistance, but the last 12 hours of the game I completed with a case of beer and a ball of Columbian gold in me so I barely remember playing the game, let alone the night. :guilty:

Does anyone know of a website with good tutorials or whatever that gives you tips on how to improve on this game while playing online?

For instance, how to use weapons in the most appropriate manner, alt. shoot, etc., best tactics... stuf like that.

I'd really appreciate it, since I'm having a hard time at it. I've done about 100 games, couldn't win a single one yet. Though I've been ranked in 2nd once and 3rd a few times too.

4th Row
- Up Your Arsenal: Get 100 Kills with each weapon (including all 3 types of grenades)

6th Row
- BBQ Chef: Kill 100 enemies with the L11-2 Dragon
- Fry Cook: Kill 100 enemies with the Arc Charger

LOL!

Well, finally after 2.5 years of waiting, I rented the game. LOL

I'm playing on EASY, and it's a joke. I almost never come across and enemy and it's boring. I'm also playing a game save from my "Share Game Saves" thread, and it's very boring. All intels and 'Skill Points' have been completed. But, I don't care. I'm only playing for one reason.

I rented Resistance: Fall of Man 2 at the same time. I'm trying to hurry along, but play the entire game. I should take it slower, but I have a lot of other games I want to get to before the Summer vacation for my boys starts.

I remember the demo made me motion sick. It doesn't anymore. I also remember my controller sucked eggs for aiming, but I have a new controller (SplitFish FX2) and it works A LOT BETTER. Also, the youngest boy isn't scared by the monsters anymore, so no problems. Just quickly going through it to get to Res 2.

Anybody still playing this game? What's your favorite thing to do, or your favorite level? Any suggestions or tips?
