I got mine to work right away, but when used it with my razor it stopped workin with the ps3 and had to rest every thing. But as long as i dont use it with my phone it works every time.

Good thing I dont have a razor!:)

I hate those phones

I like this game alot. But it got kinda boring fast. Maybe im just not a big fan of first person shooters.

Yes, and that is very fun. And i can play that for many hours, as long as i am doing pretty well at it. But as far as the campaign mode goes, it gets boring. More specifically, I really enjoy the levels that are kinda like "All out war" with like fifty ai's and gunfire everywhere, but the levels when you are in tunnels or buildings alone, those get old quick in my opinion.

I actually enjoy the campaign a bit more than online, but I think I just need to get used to playing shooters with a controller again. After taking all of the time to master a keyboard and mouse, I spent much more time playing on the PC than playing Halo or something.

I do enjoy campaign more than online play, but it just gets old faster to me than online play. I still love it a lot.

When you played campaign, did you collect all the intelligence, look at all the dead bodies and what they were wearing, etc? I found that to be the most interesting part of the game, in my opinion. Where did the Chimera come from, who are the Cloven, and whats their purpose? All these question are still left unanswered, but finding out more about them and coming up with my own conclusions along the way was pretty cool. Another interesting fact that I was able to find: If you go to the resistance website and click on the timeline about "Soilders drown at...(whatever it was called)" click on the door way and it plays a video. Then go back to that level and replay it and you'll notice that the Black Ops soldiers that die in the video are still laying in those positions in the level. Very cool.

OK dudes, I have two questions and hopefully somebody will know the answer:

1: Where do you get the Rocket Launcher (it has a different name)? I can't seem to find it. Same with the reapers and the "dragon" one, the one that shoots the blue flame or something like that.

I am playing on "normal" level and I haven't beat the game yet btw, so I don't know if it has anything to do with it.

2: If I passed the part where I pick-up the Rocket Launcher, can I just go back and get it, like through the main menu > campaign > other location.

Thanks for the help :)

you cant access some weapons until certain parts of the game, you cant miss the rocket launcher and other weapons. some are available on other difficulties. How far are you in the game?

You can't or you can?

I'm in the second part of Bristol.

I believe you don't get the reapers, dragon, and one type of grenade until after you have beat the game. Once completed, restart the first level and the reapers are right before you go into the first building (where you go up the stairs and into the alley in the back). The rest are in other locations throughout the game.

Damn I just can't find that damn Rocket Launcher! :ouch:, I think it'd be a good weapon to use against the last Stalker on the first part of the location after Bristol. I think it's tower C-3 or something.

I believe you don't get the LAARK until later on. I seem to only remember it in the last missions.

On a side note: You'll be thankful you have it when you get it, just make sure to use it wisely.

It doesn't that have that much of a power does it? I was watching a video and it seemed to have the same impact as the grenades the Carbine launches.

It has a bit more of a punch then that, but with its laser guided system, it has a lot better functionality. You'll need it for what you're up against though, but I can't tell you more then that without ruining the surprise.

Online is great! I've already reached 1000+ kills in a whole day. I seem to be pretty "above average" at it as well, as I have about 400 more kills than deaths.

It's crazy how good people get though. Someone I came across had 26 losses and 137 wins - 39 of them in a row!

I swear the servers aren't updating my wins sometimes. I won 4 matches yesterday, and only one has been added to my "Wins". Has anyone come across this? They were all ranked for sure...

I've come across it before, but usually when the server kicks me off around 8ish AM every morning. They are notorious for not updating my XP points though at any given time of the day though.

Man how can i get better with the stupid joysticks... I just suck at them.. as it is im avg at mouse and keyboard let alone joysticks..

any tips to help?

Thank you very mucho senor! :D I already beat the game and I finally found where it was..., I have to accept that its second fire function is really cool and useful. 👍

Thanx again SF!

The Church of England threaten to sue Sony over RFOM

BBC
he Church of England is considering legal action against entertainment firm Sony for featuring Manchester Cathedral in a violent PlayStation video game.

The Church says Sony did not obtain permission to use the interior in the war game Resistance: Fall of Man.

The game, which has sold more than one million copies, shows a virtual shoot-out in the cathedral's nave in which hundreds of enemies are killed.

Sony said it believed it had sought all necessary permission for the game.

'Not reality'

The company said in a statement: "Sony Computer Entertainment Europe is aware of the concerns expressed by the Bishop of Manchester and the cathedral authorities... and we naturally take the concerns very seriously.

"Resistance: Fall of Man is a fantasy science fiction game and is not based on reality.

"We believe we have sought and received all permissions necessary for the creation of the game."

The firm said it would be contacting the cathedral authorities on Monday "to understand their concerns in more detail".

But the Church said Sony did not ask for permission to use the cathedral and has demanded an apology and the removal of the game from shop shelves - otherwise it will consider legal action.

Sony said the game was not based on reality

The Bishop of Manchester, the Right Reverend Nigel McCulloch, described the decision to feature the city's cathedral as "highly irresponsible" - especially in the light of Manchester's history of gun crime.

"It is well known that Manchester has a gun crime problem," he said.

"For a global manufacturer to re-create one of our great cathedrals with photo-realistic quality and then encourage people to have guns battles in the building is beyond belief and highly irresponsible.

We are shocked to see a place of learning, prayer and heritage being presented to the youth market as a location where guns can be fired
Rogers Govender,
Dean of Manchester Cathedral

"Here in Manchester we do all we can to support communities through our parish clergy. We know the reality of gun crime and the devastating effects it can have on lives. It is not a trivial matter."

The Dean of Manchester Cathedral, the Very Reverend Rogers Govender, added the game was "undermining" the work of the church.

"We are shocked to see a place of learning, prayer and heritage being presented to the youth market as a location where guns can be fired.

"This is an important issue. For many young people these games offer a different sort of reality and seeing guns in Manchester Cathedral is not the sort of connection we want to make.

"Every year we invite hundreds of teenagers to come and see the cathedral and it is a shame to have Sony undermining our work."

'Mythical'

Patsy McKie, from Mothers Against Violence, whose son Dorrie was killed in Manchester, said it was time to stand up to the makers of violent games.

"I believe it's something that needs to be taken seriously first by the Church but also by parents.

"There's a war going on - not just in Iraq, but right here on our doorstep."

Sony described the game as being set "in an alternate and mythical version of Europe in the 1950s, in which the enemy are strange-looking alien invaders seeking to destroy humanity".

Earlier, David Wilson, a Sony spokesman, told The Times newspaper: "It is game-created footage, it is not video or photography.

"It is entertainment, like Doctor Who or any other science fiction. It is not based on reality at all. Throughout the whole process we have sought permission where necessary."

Sorry but this is just bonkers, particularly as I can clearly think of two programs in which either aliens (Dr Who) or gun related violence (Spooks) occurred inside a church and the COE did nothing about it at all (strangely both programmes made by the BBC).

Still they do say that any publicity is good publicity, and I doubt this will do PS3 and RFOM sales in the UK any harm at all (quite the opposite - any hint of a ban normally has the British public out on a spending spree).

Regards

Scaff (and no heading off to Manchester cathedral all you RFOM players)

The bloody church is overeacting yet again about things, its funny how they took so long to even know about this!

How does it differ from any other violent game that is set in a real world locations, you dont see other people complaining..... well, much!

I would love to see Sony take down the best selling game and flagship PS3 seller in Europe from the shelves.... yeah like thats gonna happen!

The bishop probably found this while out looking for a new game for his PS3. Despite all the wonderful reviews, he was obviously very disappointed and figured that he'd...
