What car goes backwards with the brake pedal? That's just stupid.
My truck doesn't have a "triangle button" in real world, and all cars go backward with brake pedal in NFS games.

But, as I said in another thread scarily close to this one...My truck doesn't have a "triangle button" in real world, and all cars go backward with brake pedal in NFS games.
Your truck also doesn't have a huge TV in front of your face either. There are some things PD cannot replicate, and going down the box into reverse is something a sequential box does not do, so having reverse as a button is fine in my book. All of the officially supported GT wheels have paddles behind the wheel and/or a sequential lever. This, in effect, gives every car in GT a sequential gearbox.
No real life sequential gearbox can go from 1 to N to R. They all have a button or some kind of procedure to go into reverse. Admittedly, you then press the throttle to gain speed in reverse, but the button push is still required.
You sir, are not worthy of owning GT5. Please do not swear on this forum. "NFS" should be added to the swear filter, plus instantly banning everyone that is using the word.
Agreed Porsche Unleased was a great game at the time. It is really a shame they did not continue down that road with the newer editions. btw in that game you had Reverse just below Neutral and the races always started you in Neutral so you had to shift to 1st at go or you would just be sitting there reving the engine while everyone else drives awayI played NFS on the PC if you ever tried "Porsche Unleashed" it wasn't a bad game. They had driving test where you had to use reverse and back the car through cones within a time period, you had to drive the car on a skid pad come to cones then back up. So not all NFS games were bad only the newer ones.
If you have the DFGT and you feel that reversing is a big deal to you - you can always map the horn button to reverse (unless you use it to signal your coming back to the track - but let me warn you that the AI is deaf)
The horn is in the center of the wheel and its a very large button - you really cant miss it and its always at his "start position".
Or you can use the break pedal and break with the triangle
Or you can use your head and figure it out yourself if your going to have that atitude towards people that reply to your thread
