..it does save the entire replay for watching after the race, doesn't it?

I turned that off. For the last 3 hours of my first 24 hour test, I lost the timing. I figured it was the massive replay file and loss of memory. I turned off save replay and in the next 24 hour test I didnt lose timing at all

Still in the fight for a podium, aww yeah! Looks like my fuel economy strategy is paying off for the #33.

If I'm honest, it appears that being able to squeeze out that additional lap on a tank is proving to be a difference maker.

#24 Jahgee1124 8th retirement

1/8 of the field gone now. How many of those to the 'Diet' perk?

I decided that unless you were getting damage every 2 stints, it should theoretically be the quickest option. Didn't even consider the weight reduction.

To tell you the truth Im not exactly sure. I know at least a couple

I didn't put much thought into it, seeing as how I gave it to Clarkson and Co. The 85 is a fueler, and the 79 is the crew car, but it's keeping decent pace too.

So that's now all three of one team's cars gone AND the Pole sitter as well. I'm just feeling wonderful about my chances now :scared:

Edit:

Racerworkz owner ousts Shimoda on the spot, Newgarden to take his place

After a crash earlier that was deemed "easily avoidable", it has been revealed that Matt Shimoda has been kicked out of the car for the rest of the event and is possibly in danger of loosing his ride in the series he competes in for the same team. Josef Newgarden, who didn't even get to drive after the 26 car crashed into the 32 on the straight, will be taking his place.

Funny thing is, he got collected by two cars from the same team. Unlucky.

Meanwhile, the 32 was actually catching a car  I had no hope for anything other then finishing after the 27 car went out but this is kinda giving me abit of faith.

Do the parts retirements just mean that the car had a failure that the game randomly decided?

Its 100% random, I've turned off temperature, RPM speed etc raising or lowering reliability. I've reduced it to simple odds, 1 in 2.5, 1 in 4, or 1 in 5.5

Edit: That didnt sound right. The failure type (engine, gearbox, brakes etc) is random, but the probability is not

So when for example the #28, it had nothing to do with the cars damage?

Wait, I don't see Frizbe on the spotter's guide. Was he a late edition?

Well then, that's one quarter of the field gone at 1 AM.

I'm putting my money on the "less than half the field will finish" option before the odds get too bad.

He signed up but was too busy to make a paint scheme etc

I was hoping for just 15-17 retirements, but at this point I'll take 20 or less. I did not see this level of carnage in any of the tests

10 hours in, and no Frizbe or watertank, here's what the spotter guide looks like.

The AI knows this is the one that counts.

So, of course, they..

Give It All

..until they lose control of the car and end up a burning wreck.

@BKGlover, are you sure "engine kinda went #420blazeit" isn't a better (and more in style with the others) description for 47th? :D
