I left PC racing a long time ago as real life took over :). I raced rfactor and enjoyed it very much plus it has an insane amount of mods available. I think there's a Rfactor 2 in the works but not sure about that.

As for iracing, think this is the hardcore sim if that's what you want and you'll have to pay a bit extra for it I think. Dave Kaemmer (spelling ?) is behind it and he did GPL which I maintain is still one of the best sims ever made. If you think the 'Ring is scary in GT5, try it in a "67 Lotus 49:scared:. Getting it right there was the most satisfaction I ever got out of a racing sim.

iRacing is good, but can become costly as you have the pay for the monthly subscription and tracks/cars

rFactor is only good if you can find a good mod

It's not too hard to find a good rFactor mod though - GP79, MMG F107, CTDP F106, Touring Car Legends, iDT Champcar World Series, Enduracers/Serie Internationale du Mans etc :)

That has a GTL DVD check though, so if you don't have GTL you're out of luck.

GTL is a cheap purchase off eBay and is really worth it in it's own right - so many great classic cars have been added to GTL. My favourite is to take the period cars around classic road courses like Longford Tasmania. Thats a thrill and a half right there.
