Absolutely 100% stock - oh wait, I put some more powerful 'white light' headlight globes in it, which made a huge difference.

Did they seriously?

My car is fully stock - I want to put CLK500 wheels on it, though, since the stock AMG ones are a bit showy, but I know I'm not actually going to. My wife's car has ski racks. Basically, I know nothing about car maintenance. 👍

Yeah, particularly the high beams. I was quite suprised, I didn't think they'd make much difference, but the combination of the white light and the more sharply defined lighting area has made a big difference.

I'm pretty fussy on this front. We do interstate drives pretty regularly, with 4:30am starts, and you need as much light throw as you can get at that time of the morning - you don't want a kangaroo in your lap!

I had an '88 Magna (think widebody Sigma) 6 years ago which had superb headlights, which spoilt me, I think - the Vectra prior to the Liberty/Legacy we had previously had particularly poor low beam headlights, which was a pain in the arse around Balmain's poorly lit streets.

Interesting - I see these things on eBay and at auto parts stores (not that I ever go inside them) and I always wonder if have any effect at all - I thought you were being sarcastic. How were your Liberty's lights before their installation? I thought they were trash when I had my Outback sedan, but I ran that parallel to an older 7-series so that may be it.

They were okay - but not remarkable by any stretch of the imagination. Gotta get the reputable brands (Hella, Bosch), there's plenty of ricer globes out there that are rubbish.

How do you like those tires? I've thought about getting myself a set.
Any input would be helpful.

I've had a set last summer. I'm 50/50 on them...

When it's hot and the roads are nice, they stick like nothing else (except R compounds, obviously). They're pretty cheap, too.

But, and there's a but; When it's either damp/wet or cold (not freezing cold, but say 50F or so) there is no grip whatsoever.

I found them to wear quickly, but your mileage may vary. They're pretty heavy for performance tires, too.

Maybe I got a bad set, I don't know. So many people have these, they can't be all that bad.

Thanks Sir Punk.

I had BFG g-force T/A KDW2's and those tires were amazing. Yes I said "were" as in past tense.
I had an alignment issue on my car that sent those tires to an early grave. :( It sucked cus 97% of the tire was in great shape, but on the very inner edge of the tire it had worn all the way to the threads.

Anyway, I needed tires in a hurry cus this happened while I was on vacation out in Virginia. So I found one of the few places around that had a set of 4 tires in 225/40/18 and wound up getting a set of Fulda Extremo's. Well, I'd never heard of Fulda tires, but I needed tires fast. Turns out that the Fuldas are a pretty decent tire. Excellent grip, although not as good as the BFG's, but they are a lot quiter than the BFG's so that's really nice. The ride quality is good as well. I'm fairly impressed with these Fuldas. Although I'll really be putting them to the test here on my drive home tonight as it's wet and snowing. :scared:
They better perform well as they were not cheap tires either at $180 a tire.
You had any experience or heard of anything about the Fulda tires?

Can't say I've ever heard of Fulda.

The only tires I've liked so far were the Toyo Proxes T1-S I had on my ITR, and the Bridgestone Potenza S-02 Pole Positions that are on the St00k.

M5, I have the "hyper white" bulbs as well for my high, low, and fog beams. They make a huge difference. Plus I'm getting projector lamps for my truck as well.

cant say how it is now, i left on a business trip and it blew up, seriously folks. ill get pics upon return

My Dakota's mostly stock. Only mod's I've done so far are Eagle Alloy 211 rims, and a set of Sylvania Silverstar headlights. Hopefully It'll be lowered pretty soon.

A bird added a modification to my car earlier today. :irked: That bastard. And I just waxed and polished my car.

I also just ordered TRD sway bars both front and rear.

man i shoud take pics of my car after its "Cali Gold" Mothers wax WAXED, then Armor-All'd...
my car is completely stock cept for the headunit if that counts.
like takumi, im also selling it in '05 once its paid off, im not happy with it, maybe cuz its an AUTO :(, and will cost too much to make fast.
i will fallow in joshs footsteps and use the money i sell the 240 with to hopefully get a down on a '03-'04 cobra

Look at the pictures in the 2.5RS thread. The purple hangy things are endlinks. They hold the rear sway bar to the chassis. Stock ones suck and flex, those don't and kick ass.

I knew it was straight edge, buuuuuuutttt I wouldn't exactly think you were straight edge.

No purple hangy things. :p What type is your rear suspension?

Why not?

I don't drink anymore.
I don't smoke anymore.
I don't do drugs anymore.
I don't have promiscuous sex anymore. Oh wait, that's the one category I still need to work on.
I work out and take good care of myself now.

Seems pretty straight edge to me. :) But like I said, it's a joke between some friends of mine so don't take it to seriously.

I thought so. I have an independant rear link suspension so there is no need for purple hangy things. But hey, what the hell do I know.

It's snowing.

Nothing!!! Eh, I don't know. I just heard people say, "If your getting the rear sway bar, get the endlinks.". For a while I was just going to get the endlinks, then I saw the bar was stiffer than the stock one so I got it too.

Haha, did you get your summer tires on?

Work hard! You can do it, we believe in you!

There's no support system for people trying to quit promiscuous sex.
