Now 2 motorsport icons passed away? What a shame.

R.I.P. Marco Simoncelli, Godspeed to heaven.

Yep not a good time in world motorsport, as much as we try to limit the risks/dangers and increase overall safety its still a treacherous sport, I know from personal experience myself, RESPECT to all that take part..

Dan and Marco will be missed big time..

My dad was telling me about this. What exactly happened?

Anyway, RIP, you will be missed.

Im watchin my recording of the race later tonight so only goin by what ive been told - Marco lost the front of the bike in lap 2, was keepin it up on his knee but the bike then veered into path of Edwards and Rossi, he was caught literally underneath his bike whilst Rossi hit him, he was unable to miss him and then Marco's helmet came off....awful scene apparently then we he lay motionless in the middle of the track :nervous:

Watch Simoncelli's bike, his helmet is rolling next to it, stops just before Edwards.. A verry, verry sad day for motorsports.

Also a verry sad day for Edwards and Rossi.. Wouldn't want that behind my name.

This is number 3 & marks the "They pass in 3" belief that happens every year. #2 was Rick Huseman; a off-road racing champion who died the same day Dan did.

Few races this season other riders have complained about him being dangerous ( Pedrosa an Lorenzo even Rossi)
really hope it don't seriously effect Edwards and Rossi cause they had no where to go,
still RIP simo

Yeah he was wild to say the least earlier in the season but had calmed down quite a bit in recent races, an awesome talent sadly lost :(
