I never saw Waffle or Whincup and I didn't see Welsh until the two previously mentioned drivers left the room. Sorry to anyone that I might have hit, but I assure you it wasn't on purpose. CSL and Wii, I gave each of you a tap in the braking zones and I apologize to you both.

Congrats Wardez on the the well earned victory!

I didn't have to try to hold Brosif off on brand new-one-lap-tires thanks to that. :D
Had him by just more than slipstream I believe :scared: exiting Andretti hairpin.

Yup, but I deserved last after running myself out of fuel while in second place.

Oh and Welsh showed in seventh place for me on my screen. I think we need to work on connections or restrict regions.

This would have been a good race if SOMEONE didn't dive bomb me and someone else didn't smack me off the track entirely!! The one time I have a decent setup to give me a top 3 finish and I get tossed around like that!! Unbelievable!

Was I the someone else? I remember you trying to go around me on the outside but I couldn't see you and then I saw you off the track in my rear view mirror.
I'm not sure what happened, but I'd check the replay for starters.

This wasn't my best performance, but parts of the race was fun. Things weren't going to badly until I pitted on LAP 12! I forgot to check out the pit entrance before the race started so I had no idea where it was or its shape. In my confusion of trying to look for it without crashing I mixed up what laps I was supposed to pit on (should have been 16 and 32, obviously) and pitted on lap 12. Not only was this 4 laps too early, but since I had no idea about the pit lane's hairpin I crashed at the entrance and got turned around. The computer took over and had to reverse for quite some time before proceeding to the pit.

I was cruising with the DR. for some time but I made another major mistake at the corkscrew and spun out. After that my race was pretty much done.

Then the worst thing that I have ever experienced in GT5 happened: I was lapped by Wardez.
I am now writing this message from underneath my racing cockpit in the fetal position. I need to rethink my life.

All jokes aside, that was an amazing performance from Wardez. I'm not sure where the rest of the front runners were relative to him, but good job to everyone. It's too bad that Brosif ran out of fuel. That's the first time I've seen that happen. If I hadn't crashed during my first pit entrance and accidentally taken 6L of fuel in the confusion, I probably would have run out as well because I never considered it a possibility.

It's also a shame that so many people dropped out of the race. I could have used some company way at the back. In any case, good race guys. Thanks for organizing it Wardez.

Wondered where you went to. I was motoring along in my second stint dropping 21's and 22's trying to run away from you and then next time I checked my mirror on the straight it was empty. I figured you pit or something; since I remember you going in bonkers early.

If you want perspective on the table Me and Wii were together at the end @ +1:06. (wish the countdown timer had let us finish that lap... would have been interesting as I know I had more tire and lots of steam under my brow after the game chunked when the checkered flag went up and threw my brake distance a mile too long in Andretti; gg lag induced brake fade).

Anyway, good fun. No idea why I keep liking Laguna Seca. She never treats me right. Don't think I've ever run a race here without 1 'moment' (had 2 +5s oversteer adventures and an off today). But something about her keeps bringing me back for more abuse. We have a very unhealthy relationship me and Laguna. I should probably never take my car there for reals. :scared:

Well put. Very funny.

I think we've all had better days, except Wardez who was just awesome today! Well deserved victory! :)

I spun out twice in the corkscrew :(. The first one was my own fault and the second was following Whincup through. He had a moment and I thought he was going to loop it, so I took avoiding action and spun myself!! :D My car really wasn't set-up very well for the corkscrew on older tyres and I paid for it. Had a few minor moments throughout the rest of the race, but otherwise it was pretty quiet.

I'm thinking that a 1 stop strategy might have worked here, as even though the tyres were showing wear, even at lap 17/18 I think I was still in the 23's. The car may have got too much understeer shortly after this, but it could have paid off.

Well done to everyone for finishing and sticking with it. These cars are a challenge to drive at certain tracks! ;)

Maybe it was it just my transmission settings, but I could not retain any speed through the corkscrew or the final turn hairpin. This may have also been due to low speed understeer. I could not figure how to turn this far into these corners AT ALL. I'm sure anyone behind me saw this as these places are where I was frequently passes.

Haha sorry Welsh, locked the rears going in and it went all pear shaped from there, only just held on.
Yeah Brosif I also did not see you, some weird glitch it seems. Also had a long lag at one point which is when Ice went off.
One of the reasons I was so far back is because I went in too hot on pit entry then the AI kept accelerating me towards the wall.:ouch:

I was also fighting the car the whole way, can't flow it just like Waffleboy said.
That said I didn't give up,I only started online racing mid last year so I need these experiences to learn.
One of such today was when Wardez passed me,it was done really professionally.

Also thanks to Watson who helped me see where my car was going wrong and let me trace his line for the course.

However I am kind of pissed that everyone behind me just gave up and quit.:grumpy:

Wish I could have been there for the race yesterday but I can say that Littles Go-Kart race was his best yet w/ a 4th. He had to learn how to do "on the fly carb adjustments" so he kart wouldn't load up at the start. I'll have to miss race #4 also because Little has his last race for this year.

See you all at Suzuka 👍

Know how that feels.

haha, too awesome. I'm glad I pushed the opener back a week. Now ya'll know why :D

Wardezemolo, what is the early weather forecast for Sunday's race at Suzuka predicting?

Yeah, I am interested to see who I was running with when on my screen it appeared I was running all by my lonesome.

I'm talking about last week at trial mountain.
CSL was lagging in very lollerific fashion.

Oohh, Suzuka's starting to mist up. Could be my eyes, but it seems as though there's a possibility of rain next week :)

My right foot needs to work on its precision if I hope to keep my buzzing 'Vette on the wet pavement. :scared:

If it rains, it'll be the first race we'd have with a wet track. I can already see everyone spinning off the track and being blinded by the mist made by the cars in front.

I really want to race in the rain, just don't know if I'll survive. :D

I will tonight after the Capp race, we should be seeing something like 1:55s? Just throwing a number out there based on previous racing experience.

Sorry guys, but I can't make it to the rest of the races this season. Thanks for the fun races at TMR and Laguna Seca. Good luck to everyone!

No idea, Suzuka's still on my bad side.
I also plan to run some laps tonight, I'll check to see if you have a room up at some point when I can get on.

Sorry to hear that, drivers of your caliber are hard to find.
Best of luck to you. 👍

I have been running laps in the rain and was wondering if we are going to race in clear weather or if I should build a rain Vette?

The weather's going to be set to unfixed sunny. We're starting the race in the dry. If we grid up and it starts to rain we'll reset the track. The only stipulation is that we start in the dry, after that it's all up in the air, so to speak.

If we put the time cycle to 60....

You can't change the time cycle on tracks that don't have a day/night cycle can you?
