Thnx for the info man! how cool wouldn't it be to put a roll cage in the 240! or... well all of the other cars! :D

thats awsome you can put roll cages in the cars, no, i guesss you can't put them in every car, im assuming that anyway, makes sense

Thats awesome. Nicely spotted. But was this option always there or did it appear when needed?
Have you installed it in a car (is it visible in the game)?

I wonder if there is a replace the engine mod? :)

Thanks for pointing it out, but let's not forget to credit Maskrider for the translation, guys. 👍

What exactly does a roll cage do?

And what is the option further to the right, the one with the double arrows?
haha, a rollcage is a protection for the driver, if you crash and land on the roof the rollcage holds the body out of the driver, for exampel...

Yes, but what practical effect would this have in GT4?
What's the point of installing it since cars dont flip over?

It stiffens up the chassis alot. It'll help out alot with the handling of the car. Now I wonder if you install a rollcage on a convertible is the cage visible with the top down.

Hello!?!?! can somebody answer!?! is the rollcage visible in game???

No. If you add it to a car it improves the handling (stiffens the car) which you can feel, but you won't see it in the windows.

I haven't put one on a convertable yet....though I doubt it shows.

Race cars, modeled with roll cages, you will see. The BMW M3 GT-R race car is a good example, as is the BMW 320i touring car.

nope, it doesn't show on the cars... unfortunately. I was hoping see my miata w/ roll cage when I have the top down... sigh

and when I bought my Caterham, I was able to install one again in the tuning shop, lol...
that's kinna careless for PD...

Been there, done that.. And from what I can tell, there's no apparent visual difference... Sucks...

You can install roll cages in alot of cars tht already have them.

i.e. the Rufs, the CTR, BTR and CTR2 all have roll cages by Ruf...yes you can still install another....

i think they just put the roll cage picture in to make its purpose clear....
but it just means it stiffen the chassis (dun think it says Roll Cage on the chinese version.... have to check... pretty sure all it says is stiffen chassis)

I think you guys are getting a bit confused.

A rollcage does nothing but protect the driver when the car rolls over.

What you guys are probably reffering to are Anti-Roll BARS (aka Sway bars) which help stiffen the chassis.

I think you are the one confused because a rollcage does in fact stiffin the the whole body and chassis. I know cause i have a 8 point cage in my integra and its really helped out alot. Any time you bolt or weld in a rollcage its gonna improve the rigidity of the chassis because its not going to allow the body to flex.

Spot on draven, rollcage fitment provides both a safety cell for the driver and adds additional rigidity to the car structure.
