As a further note, yes, I am ready for this competition. I've got my bottle ofNoDoz, and a coffee maker ready. Best foot forward on this one.

On a further note, I contacted FuryX21 without permission from the captains, and he's interested. He is a fast racer, and might be good as a back-up plan. i know we've only got a few days to go, but having a standin might be a good idea.

Further input from the Captains is necessary.

Based on Fury's one time I saw, I'd say he's very good. I do want it known that I want us to finish as high as possible, so I would prefer to step aside in favor of better racers.

Yeah he seems very fast T but reliabilty counts more and I don't see him around much :confused: we can't afford any DNF's if you want us to do well ;)
 
yeah stop dragging yourself down, I'd rather we had you and you're in now! so stop trying to back out ;)
 
Speak of the devil...... does he have a port ? he could be useful as a sub I suppose :D

I aint backing out, I'm saying I'm willing to let faster members have at it. Oh, I know I am pretty fast, I have beaten Lotus and Zero before, my major weakness is consistency. I can be 5 seconds a lap down.

And we still need to be sure Dude isn't racing.

As far as Fury is concerned, I don't think that it would be a bad idea to have him around as an alternate in case Talentless all of a sudden comes down with a bout of illness that only seems to effect thumbs and forefingers!:P ;) :lol:
 
I've been corresponding with Fury over the past couple of nights. I suspect he doesn't have daytime access to the site. He is however interested, and is a comptent racer.

One hitch that is there, is that he is not secure in sending his memory card out to have it uploaded. He does not have a sharkport. However, seeing that he is a fast racer, and has been responding to my PM's, I can remedy that situation rather quickly (can you say FEDEX?). I'd like to offer him the chance to race with us. He's already read and explored JMR's site.

Shall I shoulder the risk and get him involved? I'm willing to do that, if it brings faster people onto the team.

As far as Talentless has being fast, he and I have faced of a few times, and been with in hundreths of second. That gets my vote for being fast.

Team captains, shall I shoulder the risk and open the door?

Of course this is all dependent upon Race Idiot stepping up to the plate.

:) Seems fine to me, but it's up to Boom what we do.
He would be an excellent replacement for the Idiot who seems to have made himself scarce yet again! ... roll and eyes .

I'll PM Idiot and see what he is doing .
 
I'm away from teh planet until Thursday morning, but wanted to give an update. FuryX21 has a pretty good resume, including giving "Team Slow COO" a run for his money in one of Loud Musics "150,000cr challenge"

I've resolved his replay verifcation issue, so the only pieces that areleft are Race Idiot's response, and Boom's approval.

See you guys in another year (happy new year!).

Let's go ahead and sign up the Fury! I have neither the time nor the inclination to sit and wait for any more members. I have even yet to see a post in here from 93SHO. I'm rather dissapointed.

Alex, just let me know that Fury has confirmed and I will PM Jordan to grant him access to the teams forums.

I saw 93SHO in here the other day, not even a Hello :odd:

Pm'ed Brett and told him I'll give him 3 days from when he reads it to decide what he's doing .
 
:rolleyes: Its sad that at this stage of proceedings that we have to be so tough on fellow team members...but how hard can it be to follow up on your agreement to participate. I'm sure we are all as busy as the next guy (and Gal!) but it only takes 5 minutes to post in the team thread. This is by no means directed at anyone in particular or meant to offend anyone but come on guys!!
I'm just glad that our Co-captains and participating Team members are on the ball....good job 👍

I'll echo PH and MIH's sentiments about scrambling for racers. I hear about people getting cut from other teams because they aren't fast enough, and here we are, just trying to fill the roster.

FuryX21 has been PM'd, and as soon as I get a response, I'll forward it on to Boom.

Don't think Brett has been on since 31st, so he's not yet read my trying to be polite PM which I have forwarded to Boom.
Basically told him straight he's got to respond or he's out ;)

As far as Brett is concerned, I'm not counting on him. I really don't see him getting it together.
 
Ok thought I ought to let you all know we have a new team member! and this time no mucking about ( i hope ;) ) His name is Frustrated Palm ( tree :D ) hope you all don't mind ( I covered it with Boom 1st :P ) and welcome him aboard :)
