Seriously, I just spent 5 hours doing Extreme NASCAR events on there will some IRL friends in an online lobby. With boost turned up to full and slip-stream at maximum and collisions encouraged, it practically redefined the definition of "fun". 👍

At first I loved Route X for scenery and night-day change, now it's jumped straight into my top3 circuits in-game in terms of fun...and it's a freakin' oval.

Anybody else had awesome online experiences on Route X?

I like the track, but i'm not as excited about IT, as i am being able to record 1/4 mile times, 0-60 times, and 1 mile times now. Tho i will say the track is amazing (for an oval) Imagine how many billions that would cost in real life .

That does sound fun... I need to hurry up and get this Nurb' 24 finished!!

You have no idea ;) A bit "casual" for real racers but this is seriously worth trying out.

In materials alone, nevermind labor and land rights.

Yep, just the work required to make it perfectly flat for 12km... mindblowing!

I know what you mean... I lost hours on that track using different road and race cars, Getting well North of 300MPH is just a fun thing to do

Reading this has encouraged me to run some cars on this track tonight.

I wish they put other features for this test track. Like a skid pad and a slalom course to test for car setups. Also an option for drag racing online when setup for quarter mile races it would have a starting light and finish line. Also reaction timer.

IMO, worth it just for the Speed Tests but the actual track itself is kinda boring.

Wish I could delete individual records like in GT4 :(

It's boring!

I reached 540 km/h on the x1 vettel (it catches the slipstream faster than the x2011)

I made a new friend last night in SSRX NASCAR, me and one other people had set our gear ratio's extra high to catch a draft coming off the bridge (I just hit 300mph one race) but one time I just bump drafted him instead of settling back into the pack and we were hitting 260mph with just the 2 cars and eventually ran away to win by 16s!

Here's a pic. :D 👍

Others are on my Flickr!

Yeah, i was on Route X last night, i never dreamt i'd actually take a Nascar out of my garage for a race? But i must admit that is was magic!!!! I don't really race online, so i need to learn all the etiquettes but my tunings seemed to stand up against the others.

This track at night time is simply glorious... It just looks fantastic, and suprisingly it really is fun to run 280+mph road cars around it, drafting and strategising...

Not to mention the speed and acceleration tests are both fantastic 👍

The road has to be thick thick, much thicker than the autobarn which is 12cm thick I think to handle 500km/h+ speed.

I would DIE if they out those in it... That would be so awesome!

It's functional but not fun to drive. Basically you've made it fun by encouraging bad driving

Somehow, SSRX reminds me of Kart Space. The blue street lamps on the big elevtion change on the east side of the track just looks awesome. Pretty cool for Driving rooms (Free Run).

It's boring!

oh so true. just another oval track. go straight, turn right, go straight, turn right, i made the mistake and bought dlc. been on that track once and dont plan on going back

Haters be hatin' on that X track. :p
I personally think it's really fun, but I would buy the Car Pack instead if I onlt had to choose one.

why does the engine sound go silent at around 600 kph in the 2011 x1?
that's nowhere near the speed of sound

+1

It's so hard to control the wheel at 300+mph around the corners, the force feedback is ridiculous lol

I don't like Oval track and I hate long straight but what sets this track apart is its surrounding. Had it a real race course- spectator stands, grassy infield, it definitely would've been boring to me. The highlight for me. though, is watching the replay after I've driven my Aventador around the course- it left me rather speechless afterward.
