I have GT7 since release
I have golded every other previous license tests. Fairly quickly.
A few of them were hard, but I still managed to get gold 🥇 after trying hard enough, but for this Normal S-10....
But I have been stuck on this Normal S-10 for over 2 or 3 years now. I still cannot gold it,
The best I can do is Silver at 2:25:xxx
I have the G29 and the shifter.
Due to the car, I force myself to drive withOUT TC, and NO ABS.
I know I am insane.
I refuse to go forward to the Masters Licenses unless I am done golding this Normal S-10.
I know I am crazy...
So here I am, in 2026, due to self imposed personal guilt and goals, I am still stuck at overall Bronze Normal License, with only the last final license test in Silver, just two second short from getting everything Gold.
So who here has been able to Gold this with No TC and No ABS ?
I have tried several hundreds of miles, a few sessions here and there ..
I don't try it more than a couple of times a year because I can't stand trying it and not getting it.
I know I am making it hard for myself. I should just give up And give in, and stop being so hard on myself.
I actually never watched the demonstration until just now
And I realize now, in the Demo they are running with TC and ABS.... Golding at 2:20:xxx and shifting with paddle style...
I personally consider that cheating because of the car.
I know I know
Not everyone can play the "correct way".
And so I do not blame, nor fault anyone for playing any other way, especially if they don't have the choice, ability or skills.... So I know after reading this thread, most people here gold this with the controller, in auto, with as much driver aids as possible... Fine for all of you, but for myself I just can't admit to it.
And so, likewise, for those select few who can play the same way as the car would in real life, have you tried and how have your fared ?
It would seem quite difficult, I think it is possible to fold it for those who have better skills than me, who are in the top 5%>>>> so
I am determined to make it, but I believe it will require me to try many thousand or miles.... because I am not a pro driver...
I am always able to Gold, despite all the handicap I give myself compared to others, but not this one test... This test I believe is really meat to be driven the "cheat" way...
To verify that theory:
Just for fun, and due to frustration, I decided to :
Put TC = 1
ABS = real
AND
Immediately I was able to Gold it, but I stop short to pass the line....... I STILL WANT TO GIVE myself a chance to fold it the "real proper way"
I believe the record should have been remained at 2:26:xxx
... But I guess it was considered way too easy for most people, since most people run with all aids on.
I am not sure why I am complaining to be honest.
Maybe I wish there would be some levels of recognition for those who play the "hardcore" way ....
So I guess I must resolved to accept those are personal goals that will have to remain and go unnoticed, since this is still a game for 7-77 years old....
... Furthermore some will say this is a sim-cade, so it is moot point to try to take it too seriously....
Anyways I just wanted to spit into the headwind due to frustration....

when was that changed? I finally beat the time with 2:23.384 but ... whew. 2:25.000 or 2:24.700 would be a solid enough challenge imo.
