As several of us have gotten as far as to the S class endurances, I figured out that we could need some strategy exchange! These races are properly hard, and need a bit of thinking because of the accelerated tire wear and fuel depletion.

Willow Springs: 650 PP Road car race - 8 laps/Willow Springs: Big Willow.
The main opponent to watch out for here is the Mclaren F1. When I attempted my first race, I found that this car didn't make a pitstop! I did my first run with the GT-R Black Edition, a poor choice really. The GT-R eats tires at this track, so the grip loss would mean that you will suffer, even with a pitstop. In fuel economy though, it could do almost exactly 2 laps in half a tank.

the Xbow R is much easier on the tires and fuel, and can do a full run without a pit, but it is a bit of a handful for inexperienced drivers.

I finally got gold with the BMW M5 '09. I fully tuned it, threw on some aero and did some basic tuning. It does need a pit, but my main rival was a Huyuararaiara, which also needs one. Pit at the end of lap 4, and just power though. I got ahead of the Huuuurarhra at the right hander at the top of the hill, and at the final stretch, went bingo on fuel about 200m before the finish line! The M5 is also oddly good at keeping grip with worn tires.

Do come with input yourselves, and I will compile it in the OP for everyone to see.

The 15 lap challenge on Brands Hatch is pretty cool. Do it with a HSV-010 so you can be evenly matched with the other Super GT cars. There will be rain in the race, but racing tires should get you through. No need for rain tires. You will need to pit stop once because of tires and fuel. Make sure to do them both at the same time. This is a great way to get the "by the skin of your teeth" achievement. Lower the recommended fuel load by 2 liters and you'll cross the line with under 1% of your fuel.

I just tried the 10 laps at Silverstone, driving the M3 GT2, starting out on RS, and switching to RH at the pits, since 5 laps is too far for RS, and the front tires was completly depleted halfway into lap 5. Only managed 3rd, a good 16 seconds behind the leader... I think you will need a GT car or mabye LMP if they are eligble to the race. RH or RM tires is reccomended by me.

Got to the S license. Finished the first four Haven't even reached the finish line yet with the Bugatti. That's gonna take time. On IA I used the 18 TDI to match up with the other LMP1s. You've got to push it through the mountain on Mt. Panorama. However, in all events the AI will slow down the last lap or two. It would be like youre 17 seconds behind with 1 or two laps to go then you cut it in half and finally catch up near the end of the last lap. Pass on the final one or two corners.

In IA on the one lap on Brands Hatch kept the car sideways in in low gear and pushed it hard on the corners.

I did that one in the '95 Le Mans McLaren F1, I could lap at about the same pace as the lead McLaren (1997) but was quicker through the traffic at the end), I think I won by about 3 tenths of a second in the end.

So how to make money in this game?
theres a race on international b series in the like the wind series, pick the last race and get a fast car,the race takes 4 mins to complete but you will need a fast car, i used a gtr black edition fully upgraded ,the faster your car the better.

I used the Vision Mercedes on that one yesterday, fully upgraded it will hit 280 mph without drafting and will smoke everything out there.

This would not be the race I would recommend for earning money though as it is extremely boring to run.

what other way can i make money?

There are lots of races that you can make money in, just depends on what you like to do, Nascar race on Motegi SW pays over 50k 5 laps but some may find it difficult. If you can win it then you can make more money doing that.

Personally I prefer a couple of the championship events in IA they have a good prize per race and a bonus for winning the championship, usually 4 or 5 laps each track and a payout between 200-300k if you win them all.

In S the 24 minutes of Nurburgring wasn't bad and paid 175k.
I tried Lemans in the Audi R18 but could not see the track when it got dark. It seemed like the lights were not working on the car. I ran the same track again yesterday in a different event with a different car and could see fine so I do not know if they fixed it in the last patch or if it varies by car. That one pays 150k

but the like the wind race is the most money for the time though, right?

Like I said Nascar on Motegi pays more if you are capable of winning it every time. 50k+ for 5 laps, should take <40secs per lap so more money in less time but much more challenging.

ill just try the nascar one then, whats the fastest car for that event?

24minutes of Le Mans:
Car: Audi R18 Anniversary edition, Turbo kit stage 3.
Medium downforce
Gear top speed: 390 km/h.
ABS: 1
Everything else off.

Starts with 60% rain, so better go with Racing Intermediates.
At the end of Lap 3, change tyres to Racing Hard.
At the end of Lap 5, change tyres to Racing Hard again.
Easy win, 1 minutes and 20 seconds ahead.

My main problem here is the poor AI which throw me out of track on my first 6 attempts !!!!!
You just past them and they make you spin out all the time

None of you had this problem here ?

Yeah, an aventador almost made me crash in my Huayra...

I had no problem with the AI at all when I was doing it. I quickly saw that the AI was struggling with high powered RWD cars when the tires were starting to wear, so I just did the passing right after they did an invoulantery drift really.

10 laps of Suzuka and Brands Hatch:
Car: McLaren F1 GTR Base Model
All possible downforce, gear final speed 320 km/h
ABS:1, everything else off.

Suzuka:
Racing hard tyres, pit in at the end of lap 5. Starts raining up to 20% but then stops. Racing Hard tyres again, won easily.

Brands Hatch:
Same as Suzuka, except I changed tyres at the end of the 8th lap.

Hope it helps!

I've done the Nurburgring 24 minutes and the Apricot Hill so far... with the DeltaWing 2012. Default set up. All Assists off except ABS at 1.

I've noticed while doing the Apricot Hill 20 minute race... the DeltaWing is extremely surprisingly EASY on the tires, and didn't use fuel. Otherwords, I didn't pit at all. I'm sure that's the reason I won, because I think the AI was pitting for a second round towards the end.

I stuck around to high 1:19's to low 1:20's every lap.

Had a quarter tank of fuel left, and tires wear was 6-FL / 7-FR / 8-RL / 8-RR with racing mediums.

I am stuck on the International A licences.
I have done the first and the third ones, no problem.

The Lambo and the Veron ones, i am way out of the bronz time.

I do not have a wheel.

Can anybody give me some tips or help, i am 12 seconds out of the third time to get the licences done.

Tks in advance

LOL, that's the point of the deltawing design, it drill through the air and still have sufficient downforce to race, no big body nor huge wings, very efficient on fuel. a bit surprised it's easy on front tire, though rarely any load on them, they are like bicycle tires...

My experience from the Nürburgring 24min:

Used a SLS GT3, race says 20% wet, but will decrease to 0 withing the first km. Rain picks up quickly thought so I opted to start with intermediate tyres. They should last you two laps, where rain eventually picks up to 100%. The stop after lap 2 can be done to racing hards for the final lap. AI does Hard Inter Inter laps, which is obviously slower.

Tuning tip: reducing the rear toe to .35 really helps with some of the initial understeer.

Edit:
For Ascari 10 lap and Willow 20 Miles use the Rocket and lol at all those noobs having to take a brake or two in the race ;)

Unfortunately the ridiculous tire/fuel wear rates force you to go for the lighter cars that have good weight balance so that you get slow and even tire wear. Sadly This rules out many many cars in the game that would be fun to run.
But also, as stated the AI you get in with can vary a lot, so like for the first event at big willow, its better to race against the Mclaren F1 rather than the FXX.

S4 and S5 are definitely the hardest license tests in the game, and its not close. I only got bronze on these after some effort, so there are probably people better at this than I am.

Generally: Pay close attention to the difference between blue (accelerate) and gray (don't accelerate) colors on the driving line.

Lambo - Try braking a bit later going into the turns. The AI and driving line seem to overestimate the time/distance needed to brake for all but the tightest of turns in good conditions. Most of the non 180 degree turns can be handled by starting to brake about a third to half of the way into the red braking zone.

Veyron - Same advice as the Lambo, but there are many very tight turns that you'll have to brake fully on. You can save a couple of seconds by hitting the chicane just after the start just right, but be prepared for a lot of DQs. You shouldn't have to brake too heavily on the 1st and second turns of the long section right before the section with the back to back tight chicanes. This one will likely take a while, as the Veyron is a very fast brick.

hmm... I ran this one before yesterdays patch using the AE R18 and found that once it got dark i could not see the road at all. I had to guess at where the pit entrance was as I could not see it at all, could not see the track edges nor the pavement, if not for the driving line would not have been able to drive it at all.

I did got back out on that track at night [different race] in a couple of different cars after the patch and had different results. In the GT40 I could see the track but not extremely well, in the Subaru GT300 I could see the track very well and have no problems at all.

You're right, the R18 headlights sucked at night! I think I completed the race before yesterdays patch..

Thanks for this tip, works fantastic without spending any money on it except new oil ;)
