I had trouble with S2 (Seattle II) first off. Just that little S bend at the end of the straight. I was either going too slow and got too far behind, or going to fast and hitting the wall hard enough to fail.
Then came S8. I could get through alright, just very slowly. Then after a while (about half a day) my time slowly got quicker. Then I missed by .035 of a second I was so pissed. I left it and came back an hour or two later and nailed it first time. I was so pleased.
When I was first getting my S-License, I thought it was perhaps the hardest challenge in the game, even the get just the bronze medals in all 8. But it's funny how experience alone can make you so much better at this game. I recently restarted my save file and went to do the S-License and it took me probably a total of 30 minutes to complete all 8. One try on 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and two tries on S-2. I think S-2 was the hardest, and it's still the only one I havent gotten gold on. Boy is it frustrating looking at 47G 1S

everytime, its either i spin out @ those tiny tiny U... or i go too fast for the first turn in which is kinda ... bad
but i'm attempting it againt oday, so,
i got the bronze for the GT40 @ Seattle on my second try.
if you've got a GT40, go race it on Seattle (2) a few times and you'll get it without trying.
The one I found the most difficult was the one with the Toyota GT1. In order to pass it I stayed in 2nd gear around the corners (1st would just spin me out before I had chance to counter it)
Passed it after about 2 hours and felt very pleased with myself.
Yeah, I had troubles with the GT40. I thought the Viper was hard, but you just have to concentrate and it comes to you. S8 is tough until you just keep the car in a high gear, but the rest of them are relatively simple.
Actually, I didn't have any trouble with the Viper at Laguna. It was kind of fun.
The GT40 at Seattle drove me nuts until I gave up. I probably blew the opening offset about 15 times for every full lap I got in, and even then I'm still hundredths off of bronze. Since I haven't passed S2 it won't even let me try S8.
S2 seems to be the hardest, i wonder why... had a bit of trouble with the Miata one at Trial Mountain (i can't remember the number, haven't played GT3 in ages because of that stupid PS2)

i decided to take out the ol' s licnese out for a spin...... and.... suprisingly.. i nailed griffith and toyota gt1 race car @ manaco both on my first try..... i was kinda suprsed.....
