Since I don't have the game I assume it would be a cut scene or you can move around the train and stuff for the duration of the trip doing what you want essentially, though I assume it's a cut scene.

I assume it's a cut-scene, as it would be a fairly long flight, that even though it would be realistic, would surely be frustrating. I'd be certain it's a cutscene.

But please, noone answer that question here. Quote it and place it in the Spoilers for GTA:SA thread. Thank you.

This game is absolutely incredible!!! I cant say much more without saying a spoiler but very impressive game so far1!! There is a LOT to do with just your character now to mention the rest of the game. 👍

It was not a mission. I stole the train and did not let go of X for about a few minutes and the train just built up speed and I took a left corner and the cars behind the headcar fell off and then my car derailed and flipped on its side. It was kick arse!

Awesome. Glad to see someone actually ecstatic about the game. Byt oh well, as they say: everyone's a critic.

In spite of the fact that there has been someone who has disliked the game, and people that are finding things difficult, I'm not discouraged by it, as I have always had tolerance for GTA. I just know I will love it. It sounds a bit naive, but it's hard to describe. I just will. It's inevitable.

Yeah, there's no way I will not like this game, no way in hell!

I cant even imagine how someone couldn't like this game. If they liked GTA:VC then there should be no reason they dont like GTA:SA unless they are racist. Mabey they didnt play the game very long. In my opinion the first 5 or 6 levels are very easy. I only spent a couple hours playing the missions. The rest of the time I was messing around and exploring the city. Also doing other things but those are spoilers too. :) I wont give it a numerical rating until I get a lot further into the game.

Yeah, well I don't think they are racist, but like they themselves said, they are more comfortable with Vice City. Some people just don't like change.

2 questions, if you don't mind:

How much space is the game save on the memory card?

Are there ragdoll physics a la Hitman? i.e. can you run people over and their bodies act all bendy and natural, same with the shotgun (blasting people into objects and they bend with the 'jects)?

1. GTA:SA used 399kb of space so far.
2. Yes there are ragdoll physics. Similar to GTA:VC but a little better.

Yep, it says 400kb of memory on the DVD case, and photos from the camera will add to that space (I don't know how much space a picture takes up).

And there isn't actual ragdoll physics in the game, I believe that has been confirmed for a long time. But, the impact animation that R* uses does a perfectly good job, the majority of people won't notice any difference.

And seeing how this is a thread to place impressions of the game, I thought I would post some small gripes I have with it.

The default driving view is too low. When going down a hill, it's sometimes nearly impossible to see what is in front of you. But, I guess I have to try the other angles first.

And secondly, I hate the fact that the lower your wanted level cheat doesn't work if you want to do some exploring early in the game! I wanted to see Mt. Chiliad, but doing so is next to impossible with SWAT vans and Police SUVs coming at you head on on a narrow mountain top road! (And how the hell do those vehicles get above me on the mountain in the first place?)

And those are about the only gripes I have with the game. Otherwise, it's been pretty much flawless so far!

Ok, THATS cool!
And the city being 3-4 times bigger...blimey!
Ugh but...ps2 version....ugh. If I buy it now, I'll kick my self when the pc ones out lol (plus I find the ps2 pads are impossible to aim with)

Oh well I'l just have to wait for GT sa on the xbox or pc :( *cry* I bet it takes fricking AGES :( :( PANTS!

Any limb removal?

You have full 360 degree control of the camera view just by using the left or right analog stick. I think that is excellent!!! Set the camera view anywhere you want. You can also look around corners with it. 👍

dude....your ps2 doesnt have a problem....you could've bought a lens cleaner and saved a whole lot of money.

Quick solution to 90% of PS2's technical problems:

1. Unscrew the top (remove square protectors on the bottom and remove screws, about 8 or 10 of them)
2. Remove the top plate from the DVD player (four very small screws)
3. Clean and regrease the rails on which the laser lens platform moves
4. Screw the top of the DVD player back on
5. Put the cover back on, the screws back in and the little black square plates back on (be careful that the wires from the eject and power buttons to the mainboard don't get stuck between the casing while doing so - if you get problems with an automatically opening tray, this is the cause)

I got one of 10 copies left, from EB at about 2pm yeterday. I bought the Guide, wich i never usually buy guides, but this game is SOOO freaking big. I''ve only looked at pages that deal with what i'm doing so far.

I'm afraid to say anything about what i've seen and done so far, i don't want to spoil anything for anybody. But this game is great. The new Stamina, Muscle and Fat factors are cool to. This game is (so far) everything it was hyped up to be. Oh,and use the right stick when driving, because the default angle is to low.

can i just say that i Love the Infernus in this game! It's so Pimpin'! (especially in black and some cumtom wheels!!! :D )

Excellent 👍

I really can't say enough about this game....If you liked the other GTAs then this will be the best game you ever played!!

Thanks Arwin-- I'll give that a try before I give it to someone else to fix 👍

It happened at the worst possible time-- I waited 2 freaking years, I couldn't wait any longer (is why I bought the new one)

I don't think this has been confirmed or not but are there skateboards in the game?

I haven't heard anything yet. It looks unlikely that there will be.

Sheeesh... I've been looking for a available copy for 2 days... All the ones in game stores seem to be preordered and they didn't get their next shipment...

Argggg!!! :ouch: Why didn't they get more in yet!! Arggg!!! It is quite annoying to see copies of the game laying around the store while I can't buy em cause they are reserved!!!

I thought other places have left over copies... And I wandered the night looking for em... With no luck... Anyways... I guess I'm waiting for the next shipment....

Not a big problem for me yet... If I get it by next week...

Unlucky, I'm sure you can find one somewhere. Have a look online, there has to be a copy that you can order. Happy huntin'

I already tried moving the camera angle with the right analog, and the camera just goes back to default position after a few seconds. I'm slowly adjusting to the camera angle though.

I haven't listened to the radio too much yet I still haven't heard Lazlo yet--did they bring to SA???

Lazlow is there, he wrote much of the stuff for Talk Radio WCTR and is a guest in one of the segments. Check the little book that came in the games box... ;)

I don't know if anyone else has noticed/done this yet, but one great thing that is pretty realistic IMO and splits my sides every time I do it is when you get up on the interstate and get cruisin pretty fast and then just stomp the brakes until you come to a stop, pretty soon traffic will slam into you and you can cause a pretty big pile up! HAHAHA!!! It's so awesome!

First of all, San Andreas doesn't have Ragdoll Physics, it uses Impact Animation. Secondly, Vice City used neither, so it should be a small difference at the least.

It makes me happy, all of these people coming out of their small enclosed dark rooms to give San Andreas great wraps. I guess all the people unhappy earlier, were posting here and not playing the game, as they weren't happy with it. Never occurred to me. Thank you guys for hyping the game even more for me.

The last couple of nights, especially last night, I've been thinking about what I will do in San Andreas, and in spite of all the new things you can do, my head went blank. Usually when thinking of any GTA, my head doesn't go blank.

I'm so overwhelmed with this game, I can't wait. 16 and a half hours to go!!

Oh god yes. Excellent.

THANK you dori-san. But that was bordering on spoiler.

Vice City used impact animation in the sense that bodies would curl over the car sometimes, though it was very poorly done and I would barely class it as impact animation.

That's not essentially the impact animationt Rockstar were talking about for San Andreas, and the lack of it they had in Vice City was disappointing. I can't wait to see this feature, too.

Just got it on the 28th in Australia, 1 day early 👍

Now I will have to post in the spoilers thread. (after I play for awhile)
