Is there chainsaw-VC style blood spatter involved with the harvester?

you want spoilers in a thread that specifically states *****NO SPOILERS***** ?

Wow! just played the first few missions last nite!, this game is awesome!.
I never used to use the analogue sticks that much at all, but i find them quite good in this game, and are already getting used to them.
The only thing is i might have to adjust some settings on my t.v Los Santos's Sun flare is quite bright!. The nightime graphics look awesome , and they seem to have got the "Hood" down to a tee! it looks Fabulous.

Yep try to keep the discussion more general in this thread-- (I know its not much of a spoiler)---

I know its difficult to talk about the game without talking about the game-- I personally have avoided as much info as possible in threads and elsewhere-- I glanced at the map before I loaded up the game and didn't look at the other "instructions/info" at all-- I sort of crated this thread to give myself an outlet.

I will admit that I'm getting lost pretty easily in Los Santos (because its so big)--I feel like I've been all over the Island (although I haven't yet) and it doesn't seem like I've driven on the same street twice yet (at least away from my territory).

EV0, You opened up the 2nd island already-- approximately how many missions do you think you have done?? I've only done about 8 or so myself. I keep getting distracted.

I'm thinking of doing Taxicab for a while to learn my way around and make some $$$--

Well,i just got my game 2 hours ago and i must say it's awesome.I still need to get used to the controls(played too much Vice City) but otherwise it's a great game.Lot's and i mean lots of swearing(wich i find humorous).Anyway.The game is awesome and i am going to continue.

I think I passed around 30 missions before I got SF and Mt. Chiliad unlocked. I spent about 9 hours in the game to get that far (including probably close to 2 hours exploring/causing mayhem).

Thanks EV0-- -- I just haven't had time to play much yet-- but I start a weeks vacation tomorrow.

30 missions to unlock the next areas! :wow:
This game is huge!

Damn you Elliot, damn you *shakesfist*...Everyone has a head start on me with already played hours, but then again I have the advantage of being "not allowed" to walk for 2 days, haha, cya in Las Venturas!

hmm So much for (no spoilers) in this thread.

Look at it like dinner...
The 30 missions thing is a custard cream, and won't spoil your appetite.
Something like say, the Lance Vance Dance will turn on you in GTA:VC is an apple pie. And will spoil your appetite.

See, so little things don't matter. Well at least to me.

Well I haven't got to the next islands or anything yet, so thanks for spoiling. :grumpy:

I didn't think it was much of a spoiler question-- I just was curious how long it takes-- it was a general question with a general answer--no specifics.

If anyone finds that a spoiler--sorry.

Did you get the game yet Jimmy??

Yeah I posted it before. I got it approximately....14 and a half hours ago! I didn't post last night since I was playing this non-stop.

I love this game.

I didn't even read yours, I'm too eager to get back to San Andreas, but I found CAMARO_BOY69's a bit spoiling.

I asked the original question-- I guess I should have asked it to be PMed to me--

Sorry about posting the number of missions required to get to SA. I didn't think it would be a big spoiler, and besides, you'll be able to figure out when you're probably going before the last LS mission comes up.

This game is great and I barely scrached the surface of the game (I just wish I could play it more if my lil bro didnt buy himself that stupid crash twinsanity game). LOL I'm at the stage where I can now start to take over other gang terroty namly then mutha****ing Ballas turf however that is no easy task you gotta get a decent gun armour and a three mates who are "down" wid ya in a fight :indiff:

I have 20 hours played already. I havn't unlocked the second area yet. I've spent most of my time doing side missions like taxi and ambulance to get some cash to stock up on weaponry and such. I've also been getting my characters stats up, ie. muscle, stamina. I want to be as well prepared as possible for anything.

I'm hoping to rent it tomorrow. Even though it's not likely it will be in stock I can always try. I've got high hopes for this game.:)

Yeah I loved the D-Pad, but I actually have come to love the Stick more. I really think Rockstar did the right thing with the Stick, as they got more buttons to use. Plus, they probably had to.

Walk around with both Analog Sticks makes so much more sense, and looking behind you and crouching seem to be easier, as occasionally I would turn the Analog Stick when doing it in Vice City and I would do something stupid. Once I fell of a Boat into the water and drowned. Stupidity and impatience makes for frustration.

Yeah im getting real used to the stickls now aswell, and am actually enjoying the challenge of new game, new controls new map. Urgh im so lost, Havent even come clost to leaving Los Santos yet.

I havent left Los Santos ethier, Im just starting to figure my way around, but I still have to use a map heaps, It will take a long long time before I know where everything is in whole San Andreas.

You're all crazy. :dopey:

How can you drive a car properly with the D-pad? At least that's something I won't have to learn new.

Please tell me you didn't aim weapons like the assault rifles and rocket launcher using it too. It's impossible - you've no fine control of your aim.

I've always used the Analogue sticks ever since I got a PS2... and in fact before that... I used to use Analogue sticks in the days of GT1... I also had an N64 too... so you had to be good with the analogue stick to be any good at the games on that... Goldeneye... Mario 64... Zelda... Oops... sorry... got lost in memory lane for a second!!

C.

On N64 I was great with them. But I've used D-Pad for everything on every game I have (unless there wrre no control optins that would let you use that for steering etc.).

@KM I have a heap of control with the D-Pad, I can aim very precisly with that, using the sticks will be a big change for me.
