What video games make you sad? It could be for any reason, the story, the soundtrack, the beauty I guess, disappointment, I don't know, anything.

I have one. Shift 2 Unleashed. I know it's strange but it makes me sad for a few reasons. I've been changing my opinion on it nearly every week. It makes me sad because of the way I got it. No nothing illegal, it's just something I don't like and would not like to share. Anyways, it also makes me sad because I want to like it so bad, and I like it, but not very much.

Let's not argue here please. Let's not make fun of others because games have special meanings to certain people.

Ever play a MGS game? Tons of emotion in them.

This thread is kind of out of place, don't you think? Console & PC Gaming forum is thataway.

LittleBigPlanet made me cry at the ending. :(

...

Lol, NO.

Really what got me was Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift 2. I'm still not sure why... I just lose it in the intro.

Actually I didn't think it was but I guess I'll move it.

Uncharted 2 it is so sad they cant even get a contract for real gun names

Megaman X4 is a sad videogame to me... when you play as Zero of course...

I can't imagine how would it feel to see the person you love the most dying in your arms :(

There is only one - Final Fantasy VII.

Xenogears

The only game to make me genuinely sad is Heavy Rain. The story is pretty sad, but the gorgeous music is just icing on the sadness cake.

Any other sadness is really just regret that I bought a game I shouldn't have bought.

Mafia II has an awesome storyline, I cried when they sent off Joe in the end :(.

Jk, but still, it was sad..

ICO had a tinge of sadness running through it.

Never cried though.

+1 :(

Anyway...Mother 3. Play for yourself to find out because a) the story is really deep and I'm not spoiling it and b) there's lots of sadness in it. :(

ICO. After the way it plays, the ending is superb. The end music is the only music in the game too IIRC.

The end of Red Dead Redemption.

The first time all of the characters died playing Secret of Mana. That music and "sadly, they were never heard of again."

That was X5.

Same here. It was the first game I've cared about and Chrono Trigger is another one. Those games just bring out my feelings and the music moves you. The only two games that moved me.

No, Iris did die in X4. Unless you actually mean Zero 'dieing', that was X5. And the ending for that is sad as well :(

End of MGS4. Really sad.

Big Boss (AKA Naked Snake) dies during a family reunion at the cemetery.

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai. It was kinda sad at the end where Goku said good-bye to his family and friends.

Ico, Heavy Rain, Fatal Frame, Silent Hill Series, Resident Evil Series, Castlevania Lords Of Shadow, Final Fantasy 7, Grandia 2, Medal Of Honor Frontline, Gears Of War, Medal Of Honor 2011(before the apache's come in) and Metal Gear Solid Series/Metal Gear Solid 4(Old Snake crawl scene), just to name a few.

Some Resident Evil endings were sad but alot of them were happy. Though in the outbreak series, you had to do certain things to get that happy ending.
