Does anyone have both of these cars, or have you raced both enough to give me a comparison? I will eventually own both, but at the moment I'm not sure which I will buy first.

thanks

Sauber C9 is a 89 Model in the UCD and just under 5 million cr

from what i've heard Its a Monster of a Car

I'm hoping to have one Tommorrow

Sauber C9. Great looks, sound, and handling -- a very complete package. It still holds the record for highest speed at Le Mans with 247 mph. Then, some sissies decided that that was dangerous, and put a couple chicanes on Mulsanne Straight.

hahahahaI lol'd indeed ur right!!

I've got the 908 and I've owned GT All Stars, Dream Car Championship and Like The Wind. It was sad how bad I beat down the competition. And I've run Nurburgring in just over 6 minutes with this car. I don't own the Sauber but I don't think it can get any better than the 908.

More great info, appreciated!! I think what I may do is just race forever and save up enough to buy both at the same time. That way I can get the "Multi-Millionaire" trophy as well.

Can you win the Sauber C9 or only purchase it at the UCD?

Since we don't know the prize cars awarded for A-Spec Le Mans 24h and Nurburgring 24h, as well as B-Spec Nurburgring 24h, the only way to get it for sure is UCD.

One good thing about buying GT5psp is if you have all the cars you can run everything except the premiums in arcade mode, that way you know how they run before you have to buy! I have yet to do this yet with all the cars I want to drive that are standard.

Well I ended up buying a premium Peugeot 908. Wow, this thing is a real beast. The engine performance has a slight edge over my recently acquired Audi R10, and the handling blows the R10 away. I was able to pull a 39 sec. lap at Indy with the 908. I average 38 sec. laps in my Formula GT, so that speaks to this car's handling. Fully upgraded it, threw some racing softs on there, and this thing is a rocket. Great purchase!

The Matmut Oreca 908 won this years LeMans championship series, even though they lost at Lemans 24h.
But a 908 could win the 24h last year.
They managed to set one fast lap after the other but at the end the slower Audi R15 Plus showed to be more reliable when driving generally slower instead of being a rocket.

The C9 is a former Lemans 24h winner and was also very successful in the group C world championship, from 1987 to 1990.
Funny is that only a Peugeot 905, the official precursor of the 908, was faster then a C9 on the Ligne Droite des Hunaudières, but during this maneuver, their engine blow because of insufficient cooling. Their max speed was 406km/h!

If you compare a LMP1 with an open wheeler, like a formula 1 car, you have to consider that a LMP1 has got a much better aerodynamics package because it's wheels and cockpit are covered. So it's plausible that a heavier but still strong on hp LMP1 can keep up.
The reason why F1 car needed so much crazy wings all other it's body some years ago, was to compensate the open wheels and the lack of a canopy.
That's also the reason why Adrian Newey has chosen to make the X1 a closed wheeler with a canopy. In other words, the X1 is a light weight LMP1, let's say a LMPX
