Which one is worth it? The Sauber is the car I've always wanted, but it will end up taking away half of my money.

Is the Peugeot a better choice?

They're not the same class but here are some pros and cons:
Sauber C9 - Group C beast, more power, more speed, better looks but is more expensive;
Peugeot 908 - LMP900 car, slower, less powerful, it's a premium and it's cheaper.

I went for C9 simply because it's rare and more of a legend, I just had to buy it.
C9 is the answer.

I believe the 908 is better to handle. If you have trouble handling higher powered cars then I would recommend taking the 908.

If you think you can handle it, get the C9 but otherwise go for the 908.

The Peugeot 908 HDi is a bit more stable through the corners I believe. The Sauber can be a bit too much, especially if you're not careful with throttle inputs.

A good thing would be to save your money. There are always other ways.

You can try and acquire a 1989 ticket from the marketplace through trading and get a Sauber Merc C9 from it for free and fresh. Overall, both are great cars, but the fact remains. The C9 is faster.

C9. its more expensive for a reason though! the 908 is good but NOT as good as the C9! mines making over 1000hp and laps the 'ring in under 6 mins! i love that car. Trust me you wont reget buying it!

I'm still waiting to have enough when the c9 comes up but this morning I lucked out and got a 908 with a 1000 ticket. Only had a chance to try it out once but it its an amazing car too!

I own both and I have to say given the option to drive either on the Nurburgring I pick the 908. I just love the way it handles, very smooth in and out of the corners. But if you are into collecting cars get the C9 if anything you can always buy the 908 later on.

The C9, handling may be a prob but you get used to it.
The 908 is good but if you compare it to the legendary silver arrow (C9), the C9 is the ultimate choice and has an awesome racing history.

C9 will go well below 6 mins on the ring.

I did a 5:10.xxx round the ring in the c9 in gt4... way faster than the 908!

Different game and different physics so not really applicable unless the 908 was in GT4 which it wasnt.
i would like to see you post a video on here doing just that in GT5.

get the sauber. you can always save up for the 908. the C9 is super fast and looks cool.
the bentley speed 8 should also be on your list, if you do not have it.

The 908 does 5:35 in a 10 lap race (~1 hour race)
If you drive calm and constant it does 5:45 over and over.

The C9 is faster on 1 lap, but the 908 is much easier to drive, much easier to tune.
However.... since the 908 can be bought any time, and the C9 is rather rare UCD, I'd go for the C9.
Thats the sole reason to get the C9: because it pops up once every so many weeks in the UCD.

908>C9 imho

Buy the C9 before it disappears from the OCD. It's also faster than the 908.

What is the ring?

A famous racetrack in Germany, called the Nurburgring. Some people call it the 'Ring for short, or the Nordschleife. (Which is German for "North Loop".)

You always can go to dealer to buy a 908, but C9 (now at ocd) is not always present and it's not an easy to find car...

lol i wish.. i do still have the replay of that lap on ps2 memory card!
But that lap took me years to pull off, and it was on racing qualifying tyres.

THIS is GT5 not GT4 :)
The Sauber handles way differently than it did in GT4.
you wont come close...

I no.. I would be lucky to get a 6:10!lol

I have 3 908s (my 1000 ticket spat out a 3rd car.. whiich is a replacement for the 908 that i got off a trade with too many miles.. im keeping the 3rd car around in case the restrictions ever get lifted so i can trade it off).. i got to say my C9 behaves better than the 908s.. maybe its the way mine is set up
