You can expect me to be there again this week. Chances are, if it is OK, that I will race regularly with you guys. Thanks again for letting me race last week.

Yeah no problem. Pleasure to have you aboard. Good luck.

Once week 5 comes around, all of you guys will who race in will be locked in.

Afternoon. You already have my name above, so that's perfect. See you Saturday if not before (probably will be before!!).

Knelly

I WILL be able to make this one guaranteed, so count me in!

No poker nights scheduled for another three weeks, so I'm definitely in for all of this weekend's race. I would like to get some track time in with you guys an evening or two this week, if possible.

Holy ****... I'm so not ready to attempt hurtling a brick through a right-hander :(

You'll be pleased to know that there are only two right-handers on High Speed Ring (Forward). :dopey:

I'll probably practice with you sometime in the week again.

Ill be online at 6:45pm for 1 hour practice

I changed the time. Due to work related issues.

Also please note the final gear ratio for this event is 211. ;)

This is a mandatory gear we must use for race and qual, or just a tip?

Mandatory Gear.

Reason being: The Draft can be severely unfair at this track. Two drivers can check out because of drafting, and not because of raw speed. ;)

Interesting. So a lone leader won't be able to be caught by two drivers attempting to catch up, either, if that is indeed the case.

I have no opinion either way, because I simply do not have any experience on this track. I will go scope it out in my free time this week, using the 211 gear. All assists are still off, yes?

yes nitrous all assist off 211 gear is a good gear for here. It doesnt fully negate the draft but it tones it down to a respectable level

We going to run a gear-limited "restrictor plate" race at Daytona later this season?

Limiting the gear at Daytona would 100% negate the draft and is not an effective way to simulate a restrictor plate. The best way would be to max out the downforce, but we'd all have to be playing on the honor system, which means that the guys who can't catch up would "know" that the guys walking away with it out front are cheating.

I don't see a plausible way to simulate and regulate a restrictor plate race.

Sounds like real racing then, doesn't it?

Beside there will be enough cautions to caught us up. I promise that.

You will be fine. Join us in practicing for this event.

Yes, assists are off.

No. Unless in the next update PD provides us with a add-on restrictor plate, or HP reduction. If we do get something like that, then we WILL run with a HP reduction. We will test it though.

Well said. We tried to use gears to limit the speed. Well, it worked, but we were on our rev limiters the entire race.

Gear rule is very good. 👍

This Saturday SCANA or Budweiser Shootout ?

:ouch:

Fully, IF you ended up watching it, where would you watch it. I don't believe it is on Live in UK (unless I'm missing a trick)

Hey guys

I realize that this weeks event will conflict with the Bud Shoot Out. For this I apologize. I did not realize this until Wednesday. It is possible to reschedule this week if you guys want. If you are for this, then please post here your vote.

Vote:
1 for stay the same, and run the race (2 vote)
2 for push the event to next week (6 votes)

I will need a majority vote of 8 to do so.

If not, I plan on having a BYE week on the 26th. The day my wife gets back in town.

EDIT:

Also, we ran at Tsukuba last night. I am warning everyone right now; we need A LOT of practice there. Racing there for 100 laps will be more challenging than almost any other track we will go to. But this I will promise... After running Daytona Road, Indy Road; we will all be more prepared for Tsukuba. But it will still be very challenging since it is a very short track and there will be a lot of low gears used.

;)
