Excellent, see you later although may only be able to stay around for an hour or so, as that's 23:00 here.

I presume although I use #18 as my competition car, I can use any car tonight, as it's a practice / strategy / setup night?

I keep #18 in pristine condition with oil / engine etc all in perfect order.

See thee later.

Yes, use whatever car you want. :) But for the race...designated cars.

Chad,

see you in a few hours.

Can't make it this weekend then :(. If it's every two weekends at this point I won't be able to make any of the races. But I would be able to make some of the races if it's once a week... you get the point.

Cheers for the racing tonight, learned a couple of things about my car (in that it's still not tuned to match your speeds).

Hopefully proved myself a little further that I can compete in essence, even if I still get nervous in large packs. Comes with experience I suppose.

See you Saturday if not before.

Thanks again:)

Chad, I signed up and I was wondering which cars were available because I wanted to race this weekend. Oh, and also, I need to add you on Psn.

nascarfan the 42 is taken bye timber please choose another that isnt taken. the list is in the first post of whats available. I think chad made a mistake in post #3 on what cars are available

Edit: I will use the #42 Juan Pablo Montoya Target Chevy

Unfortunately I did not make a mistake. It is alright for you to use that car. See you Saturday.

I'll join in! The #20 Joey Logano Gamestop car :)

EDIT: Why is mechanical damage set to light?

Chad, if it's ok with you, I would like to put up a zero mile Ford GT Spec II Test Car (Premium, 3.6M Credits from the GT dealership) as a prize for the season's points champion.

That would be great. Thanks

Yes

Drivers who are racing in tonight, please be 15 mins early.

Hey Chad, If one of us gets d'ced at the begining of the race tonight should we re join the room or not. Last night on FND I got d'ced at the start but wasn't sure about joining again cause I didnt want to screw up anybody elses night.

I hope you do not get DC'ed but, as long as you show up you will get points. So if you get DC and you want to come back to watch you can, but you do not have have. Just make a note of your issues in this thread IF such a thing happens

Its happened a couple of times to me. It says d'ced from sever lobby but I dont get kicked offline. I've been using a cable for my ps for a while now but tonight I'll take weldas advice and clear my cache and restart my router. Thanks

First of all, great racing tonight, thoroughly enjoyed myself and the calibre (especially of the front pack) was something to behold, and glad that I could keep up with the front pack for long portions of the race.

Chad, comments noted on holding my line, and doing the best I can. I understand that turns 1 & 2 are taking me some time to hold properly. Did learn a bit about high line racing though, although had very little choice if I was going to stay you guys.

However, I would like to contend my 10th place finish, and question whether it should be third place. My understanding under a Green White Chequered is that if a Caution is presented, then under the GWC your placing is what position you were in at the time, not when you crossed the line.

The caution happened in front of me (can't remember who and what caused it) and after Caution came out I got hit into the pits as I was slowing down to pass.

Of course Chad, your rules and your decisions, but I raced very hard tonight and feel that I did not deserve the 10th spot - even behind those that caused or were involved in the Caution.

Look forward to your comments after reviewing the replay and will accept your decision (as long as it is my favour 💡)

Thanks again, Knelly

Great racing tonight. The more you stick with us the faster you will get. ;)

I see you point Knelly. However unfortunately there is nothing I can do for you after the fact. It is true, when the caution comes out the field freezes. Those are the correct rules. The fact that you got hit into the pits is quite unfortunate. I would have try to contact myself or Gtuuk about the issue at the time it happened. If we don't know anything about it then we can't help you get your place back. Other wise, it is your responsibility to maintain your position. If I got punted into the pits under caution I would have definitely verbally announced that I was knocked into the pits and it was not my doing. Then I would have gotten my place back. You were entitled to that 👍

In the future please rise those concerns during the race when it can make a difference. No one wants to finish 10th man!

Chad

P.s. you did race hard tonight, and maybe you did deserve a better finish, but its racing..and stuff happens out there. Take a look at Welda man, he was 2nd place on lap 199...spun out...and finished 9th... Racing is not fair sometimes.

I did my best to race cleanly and fairly and I feel that I did. I had a blast. I've done a lot of NASCAR racing on GT5 thus far and this is by far the longest race I've done online. It felt good to be with a pack of clean drivers and just having a good time. The last lap was pretty much BS with everything that happened but the rest of the race was genuinely fun and I can't wait to do it again. :)

Sorry I missed the race tonight...I would have loved to have been in the action...

For some reason, I actually thought the race was the 5th, but that might have been another thread that I remembered. I would have kept up with the thread more often if it wasn't for my damn pre-med work...

Damn you adult responsibilities! haha!

Hope to see everyone next week then!

If you hadn't have quit before the end of the race you would have finished better. 👎

Your comments make no sense man. I don't think anyone 'just' spun out for the hell of it man. I will watch the replay, but im sure its going to come back as it always does.....

Driver A doesn't see Driver B, driver A clips Driver B....boom wreck. It is typical man, and you know it. If there is anything caused by aggressive driving, there will be warnings issues.

It was a 200 lap race man. Its a MUCH different race than FND. I can't believe you actually think ability, lap times and car setup had nothing to do with this race. You were up front the entire race because of your ability, and because of your setup and because of your lap times. You had setup that could go 25 laps, where others only could go 15-18.

If you don't like my rules, or the tires we use or the race length, do not participate. As much as I hate saying that to you, I got to stand somewhere. This is SCANA and we have been running these settings for weeks now.

Upon watching the replay I will talk with the individuals who caused the late cautions.

Indy is next week, and we both know you a bloodly fast there...

I'd edited my post 1min before you posted yours, but I can see it needs another edit. I'm sorry Chad!

Gtuuk filled me in on the last turn details, but my car was toast, had no moving power whatsoever. It was a 3.5hr fueled rage quit, what can I say? :) I'm cooled off now.

Morning, thanks for the comments and appreciate your decision, but this was in the lap 199 Big One, so I had as much .... dissapointment .... as Welda.

I did make it known that I had been pitted and wasn't happy, although I didn't think about the 'freeze scenario' till after I quit, but seemed to get no love back (it was very noisy at that point though).

I need to see the replay before I can comment further. Presume you will be putting it on.

I had a blast last night, despite using a DS3, and sliding all over turns 1 and 2. I do owe a few apologies to drivers as I got at least three warnings of "HEY DROPTOP, STAY IN ONE ******* LANE PLZ!" during the race. I tried my best to just hang back and stay out of the way for the first 190 laps.

If not for what I think was Welda (?) spinning across the track out of turn 4 on lap 199, I might have ended up somewhere in 3rd through 5th place, but I'll settle for 8th. I have to say I was very impressed with how clean and fun the racing was, and look forward to seeing what I can do at Indy in the next race.
