Just the very big ones. The rest are a lesson in poor weight distribution versus my shoe sole.

He's a lovely little fellow isn't he. I don't mind spiders (though some of the nasty Aussie ones would scare me), but I prefer spyders.

absolutely terrified.

I clikc this link from another forum this morning without a warning, and the secretary came running in after she heard my chair fall over and the ruckus I made.

So, what kind is that? I've seen some good size wolf spiders, but nothing that big. Anybody know what the story is?

In general I don't mind spiders as much as I do 6-legged insects because they don't tend to get near my food and things as much. Plus, of course they eat the six-legged insects, which puts them up a notch in my book. I prefer the jumping spiders more than web builders.

I wouldn't want to share my house with that thing, though.

My mom tells a story of when my parents were first married and my dad was stationed in Gulfport, MS. They were in base married housing. One morning my mother came out of the kitchen to find my older sister (who was about 1 year old at the time) sitting on the floor, calmly playing with a tarantula.

It looks exactly like a Huntsman Spider. I don't know if it's a Brown Huntsman, Shield Huntsman, Giant Huntsman, etc. though.

I just don't like the one's the bite (humans). We have "Aggresive House Spiders", otherwise known as hobo spider. I hate them passionately! I'll post a spider-bite on my back when I get home. It's been three months now, and it's still tender and discolored.

Here is the picture I said I would post from above. :odd:

I love people that are so easily attacked by pictures on their computers and freak out. We set this one chick's computer at work to rotate the display 90 degrees every five minutes. Man we were laughing so hard everytime it did it. She got to the point where she picked up the monitor and brought it to the IT department and was complaining up a storm to them about how her monitor was possessed.

Oh, BTW, I had one of those huge suckers on the ceiling of my bathroom once. One of my ex's was in the bathroom and all of a sudden I heard the loudest scream in the world come from my bathroom. I see her pinned against the corner as she is looking over my head screaming. It was not a fun experience.

Well that is one huge spider, if that was me I would probably hit it with a frying pan until it stops moving.

The only time i'm scared of spiders is when I wake up at 3am to find one in the process of parasailing onto my head.

How the hell do you rotate the resolution every 5 minutes???

Oh, fruit, that's a huge spider!!! I'd be scared as hell to see one of those... and I'm going to be taking my shower in a few minutes, so paranoia... :(

I hate big spiders... I don't mind smaller ones, and in fact I pick up the jumping spiders that crawl around my house all the time-- they're fun to watch and they tickle when crawling up your arm. But larger spiders absolutely scare me.

I tend to not mind insects so much... I was really big into studying entomology a couple years ago.

In terms of crawlies, I'm usually just afraid of biggish spiders, centipedes, and scorpions. Those big blue centipeds are the worst... especially since they're usually running along the ceiling, so you're afraid that they're going to fall on your head. :scared:

Please tell me you did not live in Florida if said incident occurred there; I will possibly buy my first firearm if that is the case.

I don't mind spiders as a rule, but when they get to that big, well, they might just get a chance encounter with a size 14 (U.S.) steel-capped boot. :D

Ahh, the almighty New South Wales Funnelweb spider . . .

That's... disgusting?

I don't mind spiders... when they're smaller than a 2$ coin. I don't know how i would react if i saw that on my wall. :scared:

Wow. That is one BIG freakign spider. I would never open my window again if i found that thing in MY room. (Well, after it left i would never open it.)

Where did you find this spider at, and how long did it take to get it out? (Or did you just stab it with a butchers knife?)

Sorry Pupik, that did happen here in Florida. It was about three to four years ago that happened though. It was the first I have ever seen in the 12 years in Fort Lauderdale I spent and 4 years in Orlando.
