this is the thread where i will keep a running tally of driver points, and weight penalties, and team points as well. if your team mate is having trouble showing up to take the green flag, i suggest you prod them to show up. team points will be rewarded, really rewarded. at the end of the series, i will personally purchase and mail out some sort of prize to both team mates (like a GT4 hat, or an SCCA WTCC poster or something, autographed if i can get it) its small, but it is something to race for.

Team Points

Team points are awarded by adding the 2 drivers total points and dividing by 2. the team with the highest point total at the end of the season will recieve a real life reward for their efforts, as a token of my appreciation for taking part in my first series. in the unlikely event of a tie for first the two winning teams will race one final sudden death race where the best cumulative team time will take the prize.

Note: I didn't divide the Volvo S60's points by 2 because only one driver is running the car. The Acura RSX-s gets on the board for the first time this week; again the points equal the Driver's points since there is only one car in the field.

Vbulletin automatically parses out extra spaces. If you read through my posts in the preseason thread, where I cleaned up your results, I explain how to do it using the

Yes. Near as I can tell, positive values are toward the rear of the car and negative are toward the front. But you can only tell by car behaviour; there's no way to cornerweight the car in GT4.

In all fairness duke... I think I should be at more than 35 kg weight penalty....
I finished 3rd or 4th in Round # 3, and was at 35 kg last week.

I don't know what that puts me at, but it is fair that I get my extra weight :P

EDIT: Nevermind... I see there were a bunch of times that couldn't go through due to a full inbox, and I was bumped to 6th which gets a ZERO penalty :p just ignore my ignorance :)
 
NP. I whipped up a little spreadsheet to do the calcs, and it was late, so I could always have made an error.
 
Im from Acura RSX S :)

The One and only ?
Round 4 will be my first race.

My Acura (brand new) is currently with 0 Km (in Portugal we use Km instead of Miles).
Im submiting my time in the next 24h.

Question: I saw something amout the milleage...
So should we use separate cars ? One for Practise and the other to Racing ? Correct ?

Yes. Buy 2 cars and setup them up the same way. 1 car for practice and 1 for race only. When you submit your time, include your milage on the race only car as this is evidence of a one time race with that car.

You are correct; we are supposed to only run the race 1 time, and so it should be run in the Race car. The Race car is not supposed to be used for practice because we need to include the current mileage (kms) of the car when we submit our times.

Also, just so you know - practice must be solo with no other cars on the track. We only get the one try at it with traffic.

It sucks carrying Team SRT-4 all alone... guess I'll just have to plug through this series on my own :p

Hopefully soon we are running on tracks that I like more... maybe close that gap on QB! :)
 
Yeah, Link, I'm not sure what to do in Dodge's case. Team RSX and Team Volvo have both only ever had 1 driver, so i can just not average the points. But you had 2 drivers at first and have lost 1. I may have to leave you to last and then recalc a new average points that's prorated for now many races only had you carrying the colors.
 
I'm a little confused on the scoreboard. I've noticed that some of the guys who didn't submit a time got some points increase. Were the times PMed and not posted?
 
It's possible I didn't update my initial post with the list of submittals. Rest assured I got times from everybody with point gains, most of whom had communications problems or math errors that required correction before the times could be compiled.
 
Oh okay. I was just wondering because I'm keeping track of all progress of this season. If you don't mind, could you update (or PM me) the times, please?

You have me running at the same exact REWARDS weight as I did last race. I placed 9th last race so 30 lbs should be coming off.
 
Just a suggestion, YLG, using the dots to space things out will work better if you set the font to Courier New(a monospaced font):
