SCEE confirms European GT4 launch date

well, i hope we can get it while we're still using PS2's. the 3 isnt that far into the future, so every month delay will hurt that much more

There are already six cars revealed. 4 they keep secret. PD is really playing with us. Now there will be threads all over the place about the 4 secret pal cars.
 
Can't say I'm that bothered about the 4 remaining cars. Not that interested in the 6 shown so far & the remainders will probably be of similar vein & I'm sick of PDs/Sonys bollock talk. 10 extra cars (when theres 700 well 500 excluding slight variations)whilst a nice gesture doesn't really make up for the further 2 week+ delay ontop of the massive gap since the Japanese release etc, etc... What would be nice if they fixed the bugs & lack of features (garage battles, online (lol)) but I'd be suprised if there was much difference. (And how about actually letting the Fireblade race?)

Wouldn't suprise me if they delayed it again till June.... :grumpy:

Well if GT4 had just included some more features, a better car selection & fewer bugs PD would undoubtably scored 2 copies (PAL & NTSC-J) out of me, but they haven't so its their loss ;) And I'll just wait it out.

Plus with all these delays I'm actually getting some work done :lol:

P.S. One thing that dissapoints me is very few wet tracks (1?) & no choice between day & night on any track (?).
 
you got a point there. Also dissapointing is that they stil don't have so reverse lights AND skidmarks and more smoke when burnout'ing
 
Well I definately will change/edit my save over to NTSC/US once it's released, I will not bother with all those driving school tests and Husling all that cash again to upgrade all those old cars, No way!

Are you all gonna set your alarms from 6am and have a day off work/school?

i wish i could have a day off school but i'll probably just send ma mum to get it for me whilst i am in school and get in an just play it untill ma mum starts screwing. Im also gonna do all ma Homework b4 hand just to play. 1 thing i hate when good games come out is that it takes away my time from weight training and so ma muscles get smaller after months and months of building them up. :(

I've got the 11th March off anyway and quite by chance I am working from home the week after launch!!!

I have no idea if I will get any work done in that week, but if they fire me i't will be for a good cause. Just not sure how I would explain that one to the wife (who will probably have left me by then).
 
Think GAME said 9th March (Changed from 11th), I hope that is the date as I have Wednesdays off. 11th is a Friday, which is a bit crappy as Friday for me is a busy day & I'm often knackered by the end, but of course theres the weekend... :)

Still I might be too busy too play GT4 due to uni work :scared:

Amazon have 9th March. Not sure if that date is for pre-orders only. Well, paying first lass (one day delivery) still only costs around £32. Should have it by Friday. I'll be booking a week off work then!

Considering I work the grave-yard shift (11pm to 8am) the day before it comes out I'll be asleep! :-(

But come the end of my shift on the day it comes out, I'll be speeding over to my local Gamestop to get in line & pick it up...considering I pre-purchased the game 4 months ago or so (Sept. 04')

This is very unlikely. I had an import of GT2 (way back. I was in a 'import games shop' looking for Dreamcast games for my bro's birthday, As he had bought an imported one a few weeks before. I had a moment of weakness when I saw GT2 in the cabinet) I spent a good few weeks getting the licences & cars. When I eventually got the PAL version (I like being able to understand ALL the menus & instructions) I had to start from scratch :(
 
You'd probably need a converter like MK's program. Which could swap the region 'tag' on save games if my memory serves correctly. Never actually bothered trying it myself, I think I just downloaded Famine's blank PAL save but with the speedo in mph :)

Just a note. I have NEVER managed to have an Amazon pre-order delivered to me anywhere near the release date. The last one I pre-ordered I was able to pop in to GAME on my lunch, buy the game off the shelf, when I got home Amazon was claiming that there was a 'publishers delay' and the date of shipping was 'unknown', I obviously canceled that order.
