SCEE confirms European GT4 launch date

Just a note. I have NEVER managed to have an Amazon pre-order delivered to me anywhere near the release date. The last one I pre-ordered I was able to pop in to GAME on my lunch, buy the game off the shelf, when I got home Amazon was claiming that there was a 'publishers delay' and the date of shipping was 'unknown', I obviously canceled that order.

Yeah I pre-ordered Sega GT Online from Amazon, the game arrived 2 1/2 weeks after it was released. I was not amused :grumpy: (So I ain't gonna pre-order from them again) Gameplay for me came in 2nd place when I recieved Half Life : Blueshift 2 days after its release (So I ain't gonna pre-order from them again either) but first place for me is GAME. Whilst a little more expensive than Amazon, they delivered Doom 3 & Half Life 2 on the day of release 👍 (I've also pre-ordered GT4 with them)

now i would say personaly for me gameplay is the best, one of the cheapest, free delivery and i have always received my orders a day before release or on the day. 👍
 
thats nice. On the day itself but I'm not doing all that. Just gonna be at opening or a bit later at the shop and buy it drive home like a maniac and start gaming like hell

Well I definately will change/edit my save over to NTSC/US once it's released, I will not bother with all those driving school tests and Husling all that cash again to upgrade all those old cars, No way!

Anyone has any news on the data transfer between the chinese version to the english version of GT4?
 
Cheese and crakers, at first I thought we'd get it before Japan, then before Europe, now it seems we're one of the last.

What did we ever do to PD?

I know why. If GT4 wasn't delayed all the time we wouldn't be on the forum talking about forza and enthusia. I didn't know enthusia excisted but thanks to this GT4 forum I want that game too. Now only hope it will come in PAL version and will not be delayed like his competitor, GT4.
 
The date is the 9th of March. Definitively. Gamespress has states that on 26 Feb Sony has anounced the date.
 
I'm counting on it being the 9th (literally - see my sig below), but it seems more plausible it will actually be in the shops on the 11th, which is a Friday.... either way, the weekend of the 11th-13th March will be one to remember!
 
How much time do I have to say it: 9th march is the release date for pre-order and 11th march is the release date in shops

It is Februari!!!!!! :) :) Next week I've got ANOTHER vacation, normally that's GREAT, but it also is a time in wich time SLOWS DOWN, I mean REALLY SSSSSSLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOWWWWWSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS DDDDDDDOOOOOWWWWWWNNNNNNNNN, and then I've got the feeling........as if it takes ANOTHERR DAMN YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!👎

BUT it is another month further now, altough it's very, VERY slow, time go's on NO MATTER WAT :) :)
 
This isn't really useful info, I know but I try to prevent some people of killing themselves because they JUST CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE (see below). GT4 almost seems like a sort of GREAT ILLNES :crazy: OF WICH YOU CAN DIE FROM :crazy: :sick: :crazy: :sick:
 
PC Zone, well CVG has also put the date as being 'set in stone' as March 9th.

Perhaps this really is the final date (:lol: )
 
I think this is a realistic date. It is already released in a part of the world + they added cars and a full english translation so it is realistic it will come within 40days.

40 days is a lot, but better then never.
 
Off course it still long but we are waiting since november 2003 so 40 isn't that long. But it's a pitty it doesn't come now because I have 2 weeks off now.

Unlucky :( Still, not long to go now, indeed... come the weekend of March 11th, I was going to arrange to go round to my friend's place and have a sort of 'GT4 Launch Night' party... he has a projector and playing his Xbox with a screen the size of a small cinema is great, so GT4 should look awesome. But then I thought about it a bit more, and realised that I'm a selfish SOB who would want to play it myself ALL WEEKEND, so I might arrange the party for the weekend after, to give me the chance to play the hell out of it first, uninterrupted... Like some other people here, for me the month of February is going to be the longest month in history... :sick:

That said, I am loathed to pre-order GT4, despite the fact that Amazon are generally very good at getting stuff to you quick... I intend to be there in the queue at 'GAME' on Oxford Street, London, for when those doors open, I'd gladly step over my own grandmother to get my hands on GT4... Fortunately, I know someone who works there, but he assures me that he will NOT be able to get his hands on a copy a couple of days early for me, despite the fact that if he does, I will buy him a copy of the game too... sounds fair to me, although he would probably be sacked if anyone found out...

Desperate times call for desperate measures... :sly:

If I read it good, you pre-ordered it and are going to go to the shop. What happens if you have it both (twice)? Sell it on ebay for the double? :p

About that sig 💡 --> there can't be emoticonization enough in your thread so go and ADD till you reach those limit of 500 characters :dopey: :lol:
 
I haven't pre-ordered it yet, because I'm not 100% sure I'd get it before I could buy it in the shop... I'd be mad if I had to wait any longer than I absolutely have to! Still, I may pre-order it anyway just in case it arrives a bit early (now that's wishful thinking!)... if I end up with two copies, there are plenty of folk I could give it to as a birthday present or something..
 
i'm didn't order it as well but the 11th march is a friday and when I don't get to the shop that day I have to wait for monday (or hopefully saturday)

I haven pre-order it yet but I'll call some of my local game-stroes and pre-order it. And I'll also give them GT3, Driv3r, and NFS:U to low the price a little bit ;) :D
 
I've not had a problem with games from Amazon, pre-ordered or otherwise. And as the price is good for next day delivery I'm happy to pre-order (actually their e-mail said "Dispatch estimate for these items: 7 Mar 2005 - 7 Mar 2005
Delivery estimate: 8 Mar 2005 - 9 Mar 2005". Maybe it will even be early! :dopey:
They got the Star Wars Trilogy DVD's to me on time too so I feel pretty confident it'll get here on time! 👍
