I've read that you can look through to the ground. They probably could have fit an extra pair, but they didn't want to push the engine ahead of the front wheels.

The belt is fine. The only reason you need it is to keep from sliding forward, and since it locks under hard braking then it does what it should. It's a pain to reach around and grab it though, and you have to make sure not to scuff the fabric as you pull it around.
 
EVANSTON SUBARU are saying we're only gonna see ~500 BRZs produced for the USA per month. They're also saying, none of the dealers they've spoken to, are planning on selling the cars anywhere near MSRP. They're hearing $25k for premium, $27-$28k for limited.
They are the biggest/best selling dealer in the midwest(almost sure about this) and they've only gotten 15 cars allocated to them for the first 6/7 months.

1) I would never pay over MSRP for any car, no matter how hot it is. It's worth it for me to wait until there's plenty of them to go around. Dealer markups are the devil.

2) My local Subaru dealer is having a little event on Saturday and will have a BRZ on hand for people to look at. Will definitely be there. :)
 
There's a red BRZ driving around Itasca, SoA vehicle. Might stop by their lot this weekend.
 
I just had my oil changed ( free coupon and was lazy) at the local deal here in VA the guy I talked to said 24 for premium 26 for limited it shoudl be interesting I am not in the market for a '' play car anytime soon'' Possibly gonna get the dreaded SUV or van next for the wife ( its time for kids and I have alot of family and dogs lol)

They make WRX hatches, wagons, and the STI forester for a reason lol
 
Good news everyone! I fit! I gotta ATG squat to get in, but I have enough room in the drivers seat. Not plenty, but enough. I'm happy. Also, the new Impreza hatch/wagon is awesome. Might get one of those as a support car. :lol:

Not large enough bad on fuel( and premiums expensive) my wife isnt into those type of cars thats my scene looking at something bigger since I plan on taking my family as well as extended family. A used Ford flex or a van is what is in our future if we cant get what we want it will be a base modle forester or outback 2010 and 11 Oh and I have a forester XT modified

How tall are you? Might give me a good idea as to if I could fit in it.
 
6'4", size 52 jacket. I put the seat all the way back and all the way down and my legs just fit on the pedals. I can't stretch them all the way out, but there is enough room to be comfortable. Headroom is also enough, but I would prefer to be a tad lower for visibility. The rear-view mirror gets in the way a bit, so you have to kind of duck your head to check under it since the car is so low. But my head pokes out of a Miata, so I'm happy.

Having seen the car in person, they weren't joking when they say they minimized CoG height. I see why they went with a boxer because the thing is SO LOW. The transmission tunnel is an inch away from the top of the engine, and there is plenty of room for a turbo behind the engine. If they could find a way to move the tranny rearward, they could easily fit a 6 cylinder under the hood. Only a boxer would fit though. Anything else would need a stupid-huge hood scoop.
 
I went and looked at one today as well. No fitment issues here as I'm only 5'6" and 135lbs. :lol:

Some notes:

1) Trunk is smaller than I thought it would be, but it's not a sedan so who cares?

2) Pressed in the clutch pedal and expected it to be a bit stiffer than it is. It's got a pretty light pedal.

3) Shifter feels really good. I really liked it.

4) Interior wasn't bad. Loved the seat fabrics. The back seats are really only there for looks, because you're not going to be able to use them for people. :lol:

5) Despite what Subaru says, there's totally enough room for a turbocharger setup. People will just need to keep in mind the super high compression doesn't fit well with boost.

Overall, I really liked it. Obviously I can't afford one right now, but in a couple years when the new Miata comes out, both of them will be on my list of considerations.
 
I don't think an LS is going to fit without a cowl the size of Wyoming. The front of the car goes up to my knee. Very pedestrian friendly were the person not to have any legs.
 
If you think the FRS's engine bay isn't deep enough then obviously you've never stood next to a Corvette. Or my car for that matter, which can house an LS without issue. I think you're overestimating the size of an LS - it's okay, most people do.
