If 7 liters can fit in a 930, they'll find a way to make a street legal conversion.

I believe that laws on making a car street legal after doing an engine swap are different for older cars then newer ones.

I believe that that must be an Empire State thing because I know of no such rules in Ohio. Here, we pretty much just drive whatever and try not to hit anybody else.

I know that engine has to be of the same year or newer then the car you put it in but I think that rule applys to the states.

In NY cars has to pass emissions testing every year, on cars '96 or newer it done thought the OBD-II, I don't know if the engine swap would cause problems with it.

Yeah, we don't have any of that stuff anymore because it was a waste of time and money for the government and for the people.

I know some of you don't like this stuff but damn, someone went hard on photshop for this

And someone asked for something like this a while back and I randomly came across it

I'd love to see people with slammed and stanced cars try and drive them around a race track.

Looks hideous in my opinion.

Most of them aren't meant for driving round tracks though.

I'm all for stance and everything, but that BRZ is just plain ugly.

That was why i said I'd love to see them try. I wonder what the sterring feels like even at road speeds with that much camber.

Saw my first 86 in the flesh yesterday. Not sure why but it was a lot smaller than I expected. No way you could have passengers riding in comfort in the back (unless they happen to be amputees).

See, I don't like the whole stance thing myself, but I usually just don't care. If people want to stance their Golf, G37, Lexus somethingorother, I won't bother commenting about that...

But... Why the BRZ? I mean, that car is meant for driving pleasure like almost no other affordable car in the last few years, why does the one thing that's good and special about it have to be ruined?

It's a 2+2 really. Lots of cars have crappy back seats, and it shouldn't affect sales.

The same reason people slam/stance STI's, VW R32's, any of the Skyline's, etc. They like the look and have a right to do whatever the want to their car. Would I ever stance a car like a BRZ, STI, R32, etc.? Hell no, but I love how they looks. And most cars that are basically on the ground are usually on air-ride.
Again, most of you will say, "NOOOO poor STI :(" And I would too, but it just looks great so I couldn't care less that it isn't being driven hard.

^But if they crash excessively due to screwed up suspension/handling, your insurance rate goes up too if you happen to drive the same car and be in the demographic that does this.

I must be crazy for buying an Sti because it was already tuned.
Stock BBS for me thank you. :)

Now on a 25k BRZ I could definitely see myself doing a few mods after a year or two (gotta give the companies time to refine their designs). Will be interesting to see what sort of mods are out for the 86/brz after enough time for people to make the second or third gen of upgrades.

btw, that poor impreza. :(
I wonder if its actually a wrx or sti and not just bad side skirts and hood on a slammed 2.5.
(definitely a contender for the questionable mods thread lol )

 I think the forum is trolling me because none of the smilies are doing what they should. :p

It's a real STI. I'm thinking the smilies are an april fools joke, but it's terrible. The mods at PBnation (paintball forum) got rid of the small talk forum for april fools and everyone went crazy. Last year they made a badge that gave you a sidebar with quicklinks to different parts of the site and if you clicked it, a message saying "Thank you for purchasing the PBN sidebar, your paypal has been charged $24.99" appeared. Needless to say, the entire site erupted in panic.

I couldn't care less about most of the cars, really. I don't see anything speial in cars like the STI or a Golf R. The reason it annoys me to no end in the case of the BRZ/GT86/FR-S is simple, though: It's a kind of car that has been long overdue, an enthusiast's car. Now, someone in the industry finally produces one. A car that's not just about performance, but about beeing a driver's car. A car that exists solely to drive well, a born corner carver.

After decades of bloated, fat pigs or cars that are way too expensive for the average customer, we finally get such a car and people throw its biggest virtue away. For all I care, people can keep stancing thei VWs and STIs and Evos and Miatas, but I will hate on everyone who does that to one of the very, very few cars that seem to point the car industry in the, to my mind, right direction.

And it's not even about being driven hard. It's just so ironic that so many enthusiasts have been asking for a car that, like the BRZ/GT86/FR-S, is all about driving dynamics - and now, that we get such a car, people buy it only to give it a dope stance yo, so that it can't even pull into a driveway anymore. Why would someone who wants such a thing buy such a car, in the first place?

But, anyways, if people have the freedom to do such things to their cars, I will take the freedom to hate on them for doing it.

On an unrelated not: I agree with Kent, that Impreza is horrible.
 I think the forum is trolling me because none of the smilies are doing what they should. :p
Happy april fools day

I'm going to be ready to slap someone with my slapping gloves when I see a slammed Sciaru. I'll slap some common sense into their dumb minds of fender scraping and hour long drives from the driveway to the street.

That's what air is for. Comfortable drives wherever you go, and slammd to the floor every week for a show. Poetry not intended.
