Final wheel selection for the shop car: Gram Lights 57Xtreme

18x8.5 +33 Front
18x9.5 +40 Rear
They better be upgrading all suspension bushings to metal (or at least poly) then. Otherwise it's gonna be unstable under braking and maybe gaining toe-in in corners.

Yeah I wasn't sure about that either. Basically I'm looking at a purchase order here for a bunch of the 8.5 +33's and 9.5 +40's so they can put them into inventory. They may end up with a square setup of one or the other.

Not sure what you are talking about, but no. I work on the website and honestly have only been in the shop a few times in the 2 years I have been there.

Oh. I thought you worked on the cars there.

I guessed id it was you as in one of your earlier posts you said you disliked it, IIRC.

He means the faux vent thingy on the side of the car in front of the mirrors.

Yep.

Yeah not a fan of the side vents. I'm hoping they give me a chance to drive the car when it's done. Got to drive our shop GT-R around for a couple hours today. :)

-> Ooohhhh!!! Lookie, lookie!!! (realized it at previous page!) :ouch:

Gazoo Racing GT 86 Sports FR

^ And Toyota AND Subaru are saying force-induction can't be possible...pffft! Puhleeessseee!

^ Edited! I didn't realize it! (and here I am subscribed to this thread...) :ouch:

BT -> Despite the SEMA-show looks (see interior), the GT86 advantages outweighs its tackiness. 👍

EDIT:

R1600Turbo -> Yes, Subaru already installed it on the new Legacy 2.0GT DIT! But this FA20 is just turbo-only. :)

Maybe they didn't make it turbo cause they wanted to keep it an "affordable" and base level sports car.

So now even top tier auto makers think go-pro camera audio quality is acceptable. WTF is going on here?? Cool commercial otherwise. But cmon...get some proper microphones.

It costs $25,000. They threw affordable sports car out of the window with that one. It should be turbocharged for $25,000.

Why?

Yes, for the umpteenth time, you can get more bang for buck elsewhere, but that doesn't necessitate that every car at $25k has to have more than 200bhp.

D/k about FR-S, but a BRZ is a bargain to me. Show me a cheaper new RWD coupe with rear LSD, HIDs and navigation.

Can't figure out if it has an in dash navigation or not. Either way, aftermarket units are generally just as good.

It's available when you get the MyFordTouch upgrade for Sync. That's available even on the most-basic V6 Mustang, however, it may not be able to be had with the Track Pack.

All of the above plus 100hp, for less cash.
Please go to truecar/edmunds and quote a price for all that.

Don't see it with basic V6 Coupe. I only see navi option for V6 Premium.

Isn't Subaru working on a turbocharged version.

:dopey:

From what I've read nobody is working on any kind of forced induction version.

However I wouldn't be surprised if in 2-3 years there suddenly is one. Just to get those sales up...

Isn't that compound charged one on the factory motor?

Considering the super high compression, you can pretty much count on any bolt-on turbo kits to be low boost kits. (~5psi) With low compression internals - go nuts.

I think 7 psi would be okay with the appropriate reprogramming. That's probably what they're going to do with whatever TRD kit comes out. But definitely high-boost kits like you can slap on the STI are a no-no.

Too bad that new turbo 2L is so tall. I don't think we'll see anything new with this car until the new wrx comes out.
