Trial looks like Modern Super Cars S1 road circuit, I believe that's a C8 and the '23 911

EDIT: the car on the left might be an older Porsche? so possibly Total Supercars

This week the horizon drift has the Aston Martin 2021 DBX as a reward, mentioned in another thread. It's htf and was going for a lot in the auction house a while ago. I haven't looked recently but it may have gone unnoticed and still be able to be sold for a good chunk. If anyone missed it before, it should be significantly cheaper by the end of the season.

Oh good the Aston Martin DBX is a reward car for one of the seasonal events. I figured it would be since it’s not a playlist reward or one of the aftermarket cars.

Sold mine earlier today for 9 million so yes, worth selling.

I just had an article pop up as a huge notification for me saying the recent update is the worst in Forza Horizon history. Like I try not to give these games undeserved praise (because I really love them) but I would have to disagree if we even are only looking at FH6

I think mascot party is a strong contender for worst series ever, and I've been playing since FH4. we certainly never had one as bad so early in the life of the game.

It was certainly the weakest so far, though I think that's mostly due to them not committing to going whole-hog with the update. There was room for an entire Playlist of new Eclectic Domestics and lower-performance JDM cars, and Playlist challenges centered around upgrading them to compete with the supercars and hypercars just for lolz, but they took a direction that made the update more generalist and less a celebration of the quirky cars of Japan.

none of this info is surprising, but here it is. forza.net not updated yet

Did the trial with Audi R8, it has a lot of grip on rallies. 1st and 3rd circuits are very easy, the AI is faster on the 2nd circuit.

Yeah, agree with that. Won the Trial 2-1, with teammates having no chance in race 2. We know the AI is strong there as it was also a tough race in the Ferrari event.

Another S1 event limited to circuits. There is no reason why we can’t have the occasional S1 trial on street tracks or sprints. Mix it up please T10.

Edit - the “Toys on the Road” championship would be a much better trial. The easy Satta Sprint so people can get used to the cars, a wet race on a circuit and then the trickier Tokyo Railway Sprint if the 3rd race is needed. Had a fun race against a 620R.

I had de ja vu with the track choices lol. Their needs to be some variety in this. Second race was lame...computer ran a 2:53 we had no chance. I won the other two..in a huracan. Because I just like that car forever in the game. The audi is the better choice..or the e ray.

I've only had the AI run 3.01 fastest in my 3 attempts. Thing is, the AI on race 2 slows down if you can catch them early, if not they'll probably get the runaway time you had. You can see the difference in my video, the stretches that the AI pulls away from me on the 1st 2 laps, I was pulling away from them instead on the 3rd lap after I've overtaken them.

But the weirdest thing in my video was near the end the AI in 3rd place just went off track by itself and into last position for a free 400 points...

Edit: I gave the E-Ray a tune up and it is faster then the Audi though the Audi is more nimble, several times I caught the AI on the 1st lap of race 2 with it and they became stupid slow. I wasn't able to go under 3mins on race 2 with the Audi, but on a good run, the E-Ray went just under 3mins for me.

Letz is the one that recommended it to me. It drives a lot nicer than most S1's..but I think its a car you need to tune for personal driving style. I am not a slidey back end driver like some. I prefer a little bit of grip lol. I noticed a lot of the og tuners are still on that max front minimum rear on the aero..and in FH6 that doesn't always work.

They don’t seem to slow down unless you actively block them. It’s similar to the Ferrari trial a few weeks ago. They will run in a range of 3.01 to 3.08 depending how lucky/unlucky you are. More cars here that will run sub 3 though, so slightly easier than the Ferrari one.

Any luck with anything unusual in the second hand car shop thing near the stadium.

I actually went back to FH5 last night and realised that I kind of miss FH5! It's like PG give us the world we wanted (Japan) and improved the barren deserts of Mexico and then thought "well thats it then".

There just seems to be such much missing from this that we had in FH5 (and even FH5 had stuff missing from FH4). It almost feels like the laziness just goes from one series to another getting less and less along the way.

I mean even the AI in the races is too easy, the rewards are awful and the whole playlist is totally inconsistent - one week a pretty challenging Trial to one that is super easy!

I've ran these cars through the trial: (semi slicks unless stated)
20 Corvette (rally)
E-Ray
R8 V10 (rally)
NSX S
McLaren 570S
Ford GT

20 Corvette is about as fast as E-ray but the braking distance is very long due to rallies so just choose the better option. NSX S is surprisingly grippy and good handling with body kit. All of them did well in the trial except Ford GT was disappointingly slow.

The collectable tires have been fun. They bounce and roll realistically. Sometimes I'm easily entertained.

@Brusklawyer63 I haven't had either the DBS SL or the E type spawn directly for me. The Noble seems most common. I've had better luck with the FD Viper and F150 FE at the drift circuit.

The GT will be fine on rallies. It’s not top of class by any means but it will run low 58s at least on the second course and is good enough on the others. I almost exclusively use rallies for S1 unless it’s a car that’s really struggling to get to the top of the class.

Don't think I'm going to try that for this trial, I did however put rally tires on the E-Ray seeing how fast the 20 Corvette was but that was disappointing as well. The longer distance braking (for auto driving) kind of canceled the extra speed out on this circuits trial.

Hmm... maybe I should try the 20 Corvette on semi slick for the trial..

Edit: I see the difference now, the 20 Corvette has a higher top speed, there's more gain, that's why it works better.
