I just had to share this... The 488 Pista... I cannot comprehend how this car has such exceptional handling even on rally tires, it turns and holds grip beyond the cars I've tested for the trial even though it may not be the fastest.

Ok Trial considering it's a rare time I was going in blind, decided I'd use something slightly different that I hadn't seen mentioned but geist told me about over XBL....

Poor Shirakawa time but started last (it wouldn't be a normal week if I didn't) so held back early on with how tight it is then needed a few corners to pass that 430 cleanly, one of those irritating kinds of players to pass respectfully where you're clearly quicker but their better acceleration combined with the bad lines and understeer makes them a nuisance to pass without contact, without all that I would have been comfortably under 3 minutes.

I used ZVTCJAU's tune for the SF90, really good solid car and just what I needed with the lack of track knowledge + having not tried any cars, incredible to think it's the same car that was an absolutely useless heavy lump in FH5.

Hopefully back to normal for next season with testing, and a rare CC Trial.

Man. Trial took me like 4 times. Each time we sweep the first race, then lose the next two rounds. Ngl I don't get why people who run around the back don't quit when it's clear we are going to lose.

Eliminator has taken me a few tries too, usually I have better luck with that one

Trial wasn't too bad this time. As usual with the Eliminator, I try to stay hidden until the count goes down to 30, then peace out. Rather not take my chances knowing the game could crash at any given moment.

Yeah, it has potential to be tricky this week. People will choose a car for Highway and then struggle on the other two and the AI can be pretty fast.

I need more practice. I never run the circuits and only know the third one, because we did it in another trial recently.

Yeah, no problems with Highway, it's the circuits that's giving the fast S1 tunes trouble.

Consistently seeing the 488 GTB, I think it's this week's reddit car choice. I can tell it's fast, but looking at the blue circle in my 2nd trial, I see the player constantly hitting the walls on the narrow turns and slowing down on Highway. To his credit, he drove well and kept up right behind me all the way. The lack of handling showed on Shirakawa though and he dropped down the positions.

The 3 star player in my 1st trial however probably just gave up and used it's speed to divebombed/wall-ride every corner to be consistently the 2nd fastest player. That position came at the cost of the performance of every other player he rammed out of their corners...

Third attempt at the Trial... Final corner of the last track... I passed for the lead... Leading by 50 points... Someone lost positions right at the finish line...

... I'm done...

I gave my Enzo a fine tune pass and decided to just share my trial build with a test run in the trial for anyone wanting to fine tune it to their liking.

Don't give up! Seems like more players are showing up in 800pi cars this weekend, probably they had their share of failure too.
It's really the 2nd track that many players can't catch up to the AI, but 2 of the 3 tracks are manageable for the average player.
Just take a break and clear your head of the frustration, and then get back to it later with calm mind.

I'm good on the Highway and Daikoku tracks, but the second track I can't do right for the life of me...

Don't beat yourself up over it, car handling plays a huge part on Shirakawa because of the sharper turns. Many of the ferraris don't like to turn that sharp without some help.

My most recent trial run I finished 3rd on a 812 Superfast behind 2 AIs on the 2nd track. It was a rough tune but the team manage to win by points. You don't have to beat all the AI, just hope that most of the players beat some of the AI.

I must’ve been pretty lucky winning the first 2 races first try when I did the trial in my S1 F355. I don’t do the highway track very often since I attempt to tune most of my cars for handling so I finished 7th there with pretty much just AI cars behind me so that was a win. I’m fairly good at blocking the AI from passing so I usually let my teammates pass by me and act as a wall. I do the second track quite often when I’m grinding for credits so I managed 3rd there with a teammate in 2nd and an AI in first.

I’ve ran the trial a lot today. Most fun one so far. So many car choices and options. A shame that so many wall-ride in the first race (without care for what their teammates are doing) but it’s a good test. No real surprise cars in my view - Enzo, F8, GTB, LaFerrari and 458S all very strong.

I've tried to use tips from https://forza.guide/ and I would say my tune is better than it was, but something is missing. There is so many things I can change that even despite really clear instructions I still feel like I'm working blindly.

IMO my best option to get some conclusions is to build Audi R8 using "guide" and later finding differences between it and the one from Letz's video. And later somehow transfering that info to Enzo.
Or I could just ask Letz, but that probably would be too simple 🤣
Well. I did some testing.

Part1 (trying to find good guide/how to setup suspension)
Started with Audi R8 and tried to do "expanded reverse engineering" on Letz's tune. So at first I've used the same parts as Lets is using in the video - .
And later using different guides I was trying to determine which will give me as close setup as the one in the video. And IMO neither was useful in spring and damping department. All of them were giving me much stiffer setups, like 30% higher numbers than what Letz was using in the video.
So later I did make few setups and started driving on Legend Island TA.
1. tune from forza guide = mid-high 1:18
2. copy of Letz setup = around 1:18.0
3. copy of Letz with lower rear aero = mid 1:18
4. copy of Letz but with stock suspension = mid 1:17
5. number4 with lower rear aero = high 1:18 (very snappy)
So in short: Letz's suspension setup is very good, but rear aero does a lot of work here.

note: All of the guides have one thing in common: aero balance is best kept around 0.40-0.45, mechanical balance around 0.6 (<0.55 understeer, >0.65 oversteer/unstable). But even as you can see in the picture below, neither me or Letz are following that rules very much.

Part2 (building Enzo to beat my time on Highwat Circuit)
Since I've not found any guide useful something else came to my mind.
Letz have 5 videos with build/setup, so I've tried to feed google gemini with that data and ask for setup for Enzo.
There doesn't seem to be any pattern in Letz tunes, but after few prompts it finally showed something that looked for me as something worth trying. Few tweaks later and I was kind of happy with it.
Is it better tune than Letz? No. Letz's tune is much more stable, but I was able to set better time on both Highway and Shirakawa. On highway it was better thanks to min rear aero setup. On shirakawa IDK why, but the difference wasn't big between them. At the same time Letz's tune have in name "55.1 Shirakawa" and my current time is 56.1, so maybe I just suck 🙃
If anyone wants to try it: 106 354 401 "HC test"

I see we’ve been treated to the rare sight of a ZiperrPL shared tune for the Enzo (106 354 401). Given he’s run a scary 1.30.9 at Highway in it, that might be worth a try for people.

Thank you for kind words, but it is not that good. Probably could do 30.5, but can't be bothered when every brush on the wall flags the lap.
PS. With Letz's tune I wasn't able to break 1:31, but would still recommend it over my tune.

4th time's the charm for the Trial. It feels like a huge weight has been lifted 😄

All that's left to do now are the Daily Challenges and that will be the last thing for the "Doing Everything in a Playlist" Badge.

if I know anything, it's D class off-road. patrol is the new scout. tune is shared, but it's pretty simple. max out the stock engine and work backwards.

Hear me out...
rally susp+street gearbox+"white roof" and do 2:25 (maybe sub, even with auto)

EDIT: no one asked, but...

Too bad that #1 is cheated.
Maybe with not brushing the fence, a bit luckier landing and not messing first part or riverbad I'd beat it.
But at the same time there is almost no chance that I'll recreate my line though last corner. Just right amount of sliding and hitting the pole to catch that last CP. And that is a very solid pole.

First time this happened for me in this week's trial... hmm... 2 players were in stock cars and 1 in J50 PO, which made the AI slower(?) although all AI were 800pi

probably. I haven't even gotten way into the builds yet, my first run was about 20 minutes of work. when I saw pork lost it had the wrong on snow circuit, I knew there was a lot of potential already

I quit farming with Subaru 22B for good today. 🚜 I won't milk anymore 🐄 Lambo Revuelto and Mazda Mad Mike. I managed to win the last exclusive car at Wheelspin 🎰. (Aston Martin Valhalla concept) 🍀
