Ive tried it many many many time and i cant do it to save my life, i can get round toscana in one piece and relitivly well but my best is 0.5 seconds off bronze then the times after i was at about 3 seconds off.

I have:
TC Off
Abs 3
and all other aids on but still no joy :(
Please help...

Edit: Managed to get around toscana 3 seconds faster than gold in first try with these tips, finding Eiger very hard tho, any help please? :)

If you can't get around in one piece there's not much we can do to help but saying keep practicing. Just be smooth and consistent, and you'll get gold.
 
I managed to gold the Toscana event on my 3rd or 4th go. I found if you drive on the verge you get more grip and managed to get gold by about just under a second. It's the Eiger event I suck at, my first run I managed to complete but was 9 seconds off gold! 9 SECONDS?! The car was bogging down and suffering major turbo lag in the slow turns.

..but I'm not here to brag.

My tcs was also off and abs was at 1. I think skid recovery was on and the rest of the driving assists were off. My tip is to break in a straight line and when you approach the turn, turn in and accelerate so as to kick out the back a bit, not a lot though. and then try to hold the drift. I think I got gold by 3 or 4 seconds in the first, then about 3 seconds in second race and then maybe half a second in the snow (phew).
Btw, I play with controller.
 
Five tips...

  1. Brake early.
  2. Stay in the middle of the track as much as possible.
  3. Brake early.
  4. Forget trying to drift.
  5. Brake early.
I've golded all of these challenges without breaking a sweat, pretty much because of tips 1,3 and 5 alone... good luck 👍
 
I am having trouble too; bronzed Toscana finally after fiddli'n with the TC and ABS etc. Used 5 and 5 and managed to squeak it in.

But those settings not as good for the tarmac/dirt; or even snow events.

So I'll keep fiddlin till I get my :banghead: bronze :lol:
 
Try traction control completely off. That is the reason (i think) the car bogs down in hairpins and other slow corners. Frustrated the life out of me the first time it happened but won't make that mistake again.
 
I completed those pretty easily (gold). Just turn off all assists and remember to brake early, try to find a good driving line and use "drifting" only to correct understeer!
 
its a shame theres no button for clutch on the handset, it would make rallying far easier if you could keep the turbo spooled around corners then just dump the clutch on the way out.
 
I golded all 3 event first try without changing any settings on the car, and by not obeying what the driving line told me (yeah, I use the driving line, I'm a n00b, whatevs.) I find it helpful to have the driving line, but to break later than it suggests.
 
I'm having problem with Eiger K Trail stage. I'm horrible at rally, have no idea how but I golded Toscana with 2 seconds to spare. But on Eiger I can only Bronze and DQ. Any tips to take those first gear corner? I play with everything off, may adjust the TC a little bit.

4WD 35/65 (although 50/50 is sometimes better)

I beat everything by 1-3 seconds after not even being able to get bronze. The TCS really slows you down.
 
All aids off, except ABS to 1, set torq dist to 50/50. Always stay 1 gear above what it tells you to be at. There is no turbo lag issues, you just need to be left foot braking, You should never really be lifting off the throttle at all (heck my foot is to the floor 90% of the time). This keeps the engine spun up and allows you to power through the turns.

Brake early, downshift, keep it 1 gear above, and NO LIFTING.
 
I had it at default and beat them all by a few seconds. All I recommend is just make sure you get through all the corners easily rather than aggressively, brake early. Drifting will come naturally, just make sure you're straight enough to accelerate easily
 
Are you using a wheel or pad? I couldn't get anywhere near the bronze with a wheel, as soon as I swapped to a pad, I golded them in no time! :tup

Setting torque distribution to 50/50 gains you enormous traction, less drifting, and makes them generally much easier.

I beat the snow rally by about 5.5 seconds faster than gold second try with 50/50.
 
Believe it or not, I bet the Aids are actually slowing you down, instead of helping you.

Use a little TCS (1 or 2), and a little ABS, but you'll drive a lot better without anything else (Maybe for just a guide use the steering help)

The key is to keep you momentum up, you don't really have to fly down the straights as long as your momentum is good in the corners.

Also don't slam the accelerator coming out of a turn, you have to feather it a little and not press it all the way down until your car is straight or you'll lose the back end.

You don't have to beat the ghost, and as long as he is in sight to you you'll at least get bronze, if you're close enough to make out details you're looking at gold.

I tried this challenge once last week and couldn't get around the turns without bouncing off the walls like a pinball. But after spending the weekend learning throttle control with the Zonda and F1 I went back and golded the snow first try, and the other two on the second try.....

Edit: after I posted I actually read the thread and realized everyone else said the exact same thing as me. D'oh!!!
 
With rallying, Turning SRF on hinders the ability of a rally car to do what it should do on dirt: slide

Turn SRF off and use about 10 degree to 20 degree slides. Brake later than the line suggests, also don't follow its line.

ALSO, look at the example run. That's a great way to find a technique to getting gold.

I had tons of problems with Chamonix on the Loeb challenge until i looked at the example. After looking at it, i golded on the first try.

Practice, try, then practice some more. You will get them eventually :)
 
After watching the demo vid on Toscana, I got silver my first try. Gold on my second.

Once I saw him take the low speed corners in the demo everything made sense.
 
I beat the two gravel tracks with 4 seconds to spare but I'm way down snow. Can't even get brozne. I think I'm sliding too much. Owell I already have the Gold prize car from finishing A-spec Pro.

I was in the same boat as you :)

Watch the example and study it for a few times. It will really make a difference. I can't promise but I'm sure it will.:)
 
Golded them all on my first try... It's easy when you get into the skill levels by doing the first one.
