second place quitters

Hey guys anybody else getting fed up with people who quit when they in second place and realise they wont win? Im sick of racing agaisnt sore losers... does anybody actually want to race anymore?

Although I am rarely, if ever, up front like that, I don't like it when people drop from the races. I don't care if it's last place or second place, unless there's an emergency you need to attend to, if you start the race you should finish the race.

Nothing grinds my gears more than cry-babies who drop out because they aren't going to win.

I have to admit I usually finish 3rd - last, but I will always finish a race.....I'm online for some racing, so that can take place anywhere in the field. I know there are connection problems occasionally, but for the most part you can tell the exits are based on hissy fits.

I play Warhawk and that, like a lot of other games I'm sure, records your quitting history.

i agree with Hank, i'm not in front alot, but i just like to race
yesterday i (for once) had a nice battle for 6th place, that's just as nice
but if you start with 12 and 2 laps in there's only 4 left really bugs me

Only time i ever consider dropping out is if I was struggling to keep pace or had damage that would cause the leaders a problem..

OMG do I hate that attitude!! Hate even more the rammers that rise hell on the irst turn, crash everyone, punt everyone off track then quit when they eventually fall behind. Hopefully they'll go back to playing MW2 soon...

I'd rather finish a race in 12th with 3 cars within one second of me, than win a race by 30 seconds over 2nd place. If you want to crush the competition you may as well race the AI and stay offline.

When I occassionaly find myself in that position,(which I rarely do), I usual apply some handicaps to myself. If I can i'll pick a slower car, or less grippy tyres. Go online to be challenged, not to trash some randomers with your new ubercar!
On topic, Quitters suck. recommended solution: boot 'em.

I hate that too. Reminds me of when I play Tom Clancy's Endwar. JSF players use n00b tactics and usually win and laugh. But when they are about to lose, they back out so it doesn't count as a defeat. Absolutly stupid.

I will say this. I have quit races. Not because I was losing (which I was, and that doesn't bother me), but because it was pure bumper cars.

I'm not going to race beyond the third turn of the first lap if my car has been totaled by those checking me into the wall like it was hockey.

I think its a good thing they quit!
My best online experience has been been when quitters get out and racers stay.

I'm usually near about 6th out of 12 or lower not often higher but sometimes I do ok. Unless I need to go away for some reason I never leave. Wasting your time starting the race in the first place if your gunna quit anyway and also I do it for fun I use my own cars when possible because I'm just trying to have a good race instead of watching people take you out at the first corner then rage quit after realising that they can't actually win like that.

I get pissed when they decide to quit, but first they decide they are going to run the opposite direction and try and hit you head on; then quit 👎

But at least they quit in a lap or two

In another race i had 3 disgruntled, back of the pack (no boost for them!), backmarkers form a 3 car road block at the finish line for 10 laps 👎

Some great clean races too; and adding to my friend list of clean racers 👍
