Senna content coming soon?

Then why are we arguing about them? Seems a bit silly to have a debate about something that nobody can even see.

Because I believe someone suggested the PD models were on the same level as the FM ones.

But again, this is off topic.

Yes I know that but they're not seen anywhere, that's what I way saying. There is no indication anywhere they have models detailed like that. In Forza and pCARS they're shown off, PD haven't done that in either photos of the models or an in game mode like Forzavista. Whether they have or not god models with undersides detailed is unknown, all I know is we've not seen them if they have.

We'll just have to wait until PD showcased GT7 Prologue on PS4 :) I think Kaz would have future proofed all premium cars for PS4, we can see the sort of details PD aspire to from the headlights on GT5/6 premium cars. If PD modelers scan the headlight and remade them in virtual reality with such details, I'm sure they are scanning the whole car as well, they would plan to use them for the next gen that were only 2/3 years away.

I'm disappointed by the lack of compromise of PD with Senna's death day. May 1st we should have received the big patch with all the Senna's career they promised.
That's when you know a community is spoiled rotten.

They announced the tribute on May 1st, acknowledging his 20th since the driver has departed - and SAYING something LATER in the month of May. It is demanded on the very day it's announced due to relevance. Come on, patience.

You don't have to dwell the game for a day by day update, play something else. It's a game. Don't like it? Get rid of it.

I don't know why I still trust them. :(
Because you do not know how to handle a traditional japanese dev studio doesn't operate like a western dev studio.

Okay, so what else is there to talk about the content then? Yeah the Lotus is nice and all but is there anything else exciting about it?
That there's a possibility that a new track or two could be included in the game, or there could be a Senna special event, similar to Goodwood, Lunar Mission, and GT5 special events.

Just because nothing else but the car was announced doesn't mean that this thread has to be hijacked, and turn into a discussion that has nothing to do with the Senna content that's coming this month.

So you're saying they've modeled the cars underneath but aren't letting us see them in any mode? I highly doubt it.

No, I'm pretty sure PD just haven't modelled cars to that detail yet. I don't know if they're still like it in GT6 but in GT5 the inside of wheels weren't even modeled, and those are visible for everyone to see. It was just a solid, flat texture on the inside of wheels.

From what I've managed to actually pay attention to, it seems they actually did model the inside of wheels. I'll probably need to look again just to make sure.

But they didn't miss May 1st...They released the video on the first and announced that they will have more coming out throughout the month of May. Besides, they never said anything was coming on the 1st anyways.
Well seeing the whole world remembered Senna on May 1st, i'd say they missed the event yes. They released a video.... impressive 👍

You also seem to be forgetting that they've been releasing things almost every month up until this point aswell.
By all means it's not the revolution in DLC nor the monthly packs they said it was gonna be. A patch here and there doesn't count...

We have three of the eight things we were promised would be coming in updates and we have no reason to believe that the updates will just all of a sudden stop after the Senna update.
Again; one car every couple of months, or a patch doesn't make up for what was mentioned before release.

I doubt a new track but a special event, yes. However it's all, again, speculation we're going through, as always with PD so of course everything is going to go off topic because there's not much to talk about with the Senna content except "Oh I can't wait to drive this Lotus" and stuff like that.

So mind as well we leave this thread dead and wait for more news to arise from PD... And later in May? Really? Man why can't they just talk to us? Geez.

They probably don't know when they'll release the update it's coming in, since they're most definitely working on it now.
Yeah, just like every game company is working on a game when they give a release date.

I must be part of a dying breed, because I like surprises. Oh well...
I like surprises. I don't like being told 'we'll probably give you something later in the month', and then not getting anything.

Since PD are featuring the F1 car Senna won his first pole and win with, why not feature the F1 car he got his first championship as well? :sly: :D

Obviously the thread isn't dead since there are people in here that are actually discussing about Senna content, and not just the one's are going off topic are keeping this thread active. If you want to discuss about the quality of the car models in GT6, and speculate on how they will be in GT7, then you can create your own thread for that discussion.

Sorry for further off topic, but nope. It seems they followed the same line as the MR car engines, only if they absolutely must.

So, only the KTM X-Bow has them modeled because you can see them through the minimal body. Otherwise, firm nope.

The race suit that Senna wore for 1988 is already in GT6, so having the McLaren MP4/4 would make sense, and the car he was driving when he won the Brazilian GP in 1991 would be cool as well...

*hint hint*

Are you really telling me PD are so incompetent they can't be sure themselves when something they're going to release within just 28 days will be ready? Are they that bad at finishing things?
A patch is an evolving thing. It's adding new features, patching issues, which require work up until the last minute. If you had a big lot of ever changing work piled in front of you, would you be able to say "I will definitely get it done on x day"?
