That group B looks like a tight group that should yield some good results 👍

Actually each race should only have one car from any given group on track at any time. I am hoping that this will keep the racing tight. It's going to be interesting to see what happens towards the end of the event when we get down to the last few races and people have used up all the cars available to them from any one group. That is when I think we will have the chance for matched cars running in the same event if not cars from the same group running together.

Just ran all 15 cars 10 laps at El Capitan and except for the Woodone Supra they are within about 2 seconds or less of each other. Then again as El Cap is the first race there should only be one car from each group in it. Most likely the fastest car from each group. But is the fastest car for me the fastest car for someone else? We shall see.

And of course due to the speed the Woodone car runs it tends to go through tires a little faster needing one more pit stop, unless you run harder tires:nervous:, decisions, decisions. Tire strategy will be interesting too. Will everyone stick to what they figure out before hand, or switch when they see what others are doing? Guess we'll have to wait and see for that too.

Kevin just asked about tire compound choice. You can choose your own compound at the beginning of each race but then are locked in to using that compound for the entire race. Also please practice with no driving aids and strong tire wear. DP

You mean if I pit for new tires I can't switch to a softer or harder tire? :nervous:

As far as I recall from the various Clio Endurances I've taken part in during LAN meets, there isn't even an option to change tyre type during pitstops when you're using LAN mode.
What you start with is what you're stuck with. :(

Back in US after 5 weeks in UK.
Haven't had time to go near the PS2 as yet to even think about practicing and have tonnes of catching up to do with work before I can contemplate it... :yuck:

Anyone up for Go-Karts at Lemans Karting in Fremont,CA. Sunday April.25th? $40 RSVP under Wildfrido Gamboa got an invit from a buddy he's got ten guys so far. Need up to 27 I think so that we can get the group rate for 3 hours. Starts at 6pm.

Definitely no option to change tyre type when in the pits, annoyingly.

I can't make that one. :(

But I've had it on my list to try and organize a Bay Area GTP Karting Event. The guys over in England did one, and it sounds like a blast.

Will try to get on that, one of these days.

Back to topic - I could have sworn it was possible to change tire compound in LAN, but I definitely trust Nick and Nigel on that one. 👍

Yes, we definitely have to work on one of our own when we get a bigger group going.

Off Topic: Kevin I found a purple plum metallic paint at Kregan's Auto supply. So we can definitly build you a custom paint job for your RIGG when you are ready. :)

Laura and I will be at this one, with the Challenger. Not sure we'll enjoy the VIP level of parking you received last year. :sly:

Yay - It'll be great to see you both again. Fingers crossed we'll have a nice sunny day.

Quick question on the qualifying -

I assume this is to be run in Arcade Mode, Time Trial. And do we have choice of tires? Is there to be no power, weight, or gearing changes?

Just want to be sure we're on a level playing field. 👍

I figured since it was supposed to be a fastest lap thing, that the grippiest tyres would work best, so I ran on R5s.
Let us know if this is wrong.
I've had virtually no time to touch GT4 for the past 2 months other than to set my hotlap. :(

Exactly! No changes to the stock available vehicle of your choice from the event list. Tires of your choice run an the Arcade Mode/Time Trial at Suzuka East short course, best lap recording.

Sorry I have been out of touch, been sick with the flu. Lingering for about 2-3 weeks now with just a touch of upper chest congestion left to deal with. What little energy I have had available has been used for work, when not raining, man it's been wet lately. Can't practice either, to stressful in my weakened condition. Need to be healthy for the event weekend. Priorities you know.

Also would like to know if you guys want spaghetti for Saturday lunch again?

And Will if you need a place to crash Saturday night to skip the return trip to Sebastopol I think I have a dog bed laying around here somewhere. Seriously, let me know so I can clear the extra room bed for you.

 for the answer and I hope you get to feeling better. Spaghetti would be excellent for Saturday lunch. For Sunday lunch, I would be willing to supply Tri-Tip, if you have a grill to cook it on. What do you think?

I also tried some laps last night on R5's, after running this week's WRS. Going from Prologue on N1's with 63 HP to GT4 on R5's with 300+ HP is quite the shock.

Mmmmm. Spaghetti & Tri-Tip. :drool::drool::drool:
Both sound good.
Make it so.

Leland, I have another guy that wants to attend our meet. Do we have space for him?

Not sure that I mentioned it prior, but Drew would most likely attend again as well, provided we have space for him.

Not sure that space is an issue judging by the size of Leland's workshop, however, equipment might be, as far as I can tell.
Does Drew & Ramon's guest have their own complete PS2 / GT4/ Mem-card/ Wheel & DS2 /TV setups?
I still have Josh's DFP / Mem-card / GT4 disk that could be used, but I'm not sure if we'll have enough tellys & PS2s to go around?

Maybe if we can get both of Will's PS2s working with the 2 spare network adaptors that I'm currently hanging on to (1 is mine, 1 is Kevin's), we'll be OK.

Drew definitely has the wheel and PS2. The only issue might be the TV, and whether or not he has a network adapter. I'll be sure we post a clearer inventory here, prior to the event.
