I'm on PS4.

Favorite track, Nordschleife by far.
Car?
Can't decide between F40, yellow bird or 599xx...

P.S. Forget about F40 and 599, it´s 911 RSR all the way now  D.S.

458 and E92 M3 at Imola.

FXX K at Mugello.

IMO the Lotus 49 represents the pinnacle of racing cars. Fast, awesome sounding, with high performance acceleration, braking & cornering, but twitchy & demanding to drive. It shows off AC's physics & FFB at their best. In comparison, the modern supercars & the GT cars seem very bland to me.

Ahh... the ole Lotus 49! 415hp, 500kg, 1960's brake & tire technology, what could possibly go wrong? :D Every single one of those drivers should be locked up in a mental institution. Those men were warriors. 👍

As much as I don't like driving the newer open-wheel cars, mainly because they're just too fast for me, I think you're right... The older open-wheel cars really do blow your mind with the physics/FFB. I swear, when I go over the driveable curbs it seems like I can feel suspension in action. Such an experience... And then I usually crash directly into a wall. :D

And then there is the sound of those old cars..

Exactly! I really don't get the appeal of these paddle-shifting modern supercars - they are very fast, but so smooth that they lack any "character". I imagine IRL they're exciting to drive, because of the power & speed, but in a game, absent any actual danger, I don't find them very interesting. The modern F1 cars are demanding to drive because of the extreme acceleration & braking, but they don't really feel like ... cars.

Haven't had had a bad one so far to be honest. I guess so far La Ferrari around Monza, Ferrari 312T around the Nurburgring and most terrifying the Porsche 917/30 on full boost around the old Monza banking...damn.

Carrera RSR @ Mugello.

I do like driving a car with lift-off oversteer round this track as the corners seem made for it, and a field of RSRs makes for some close racing against the AI.

I like the classic tracks and cars with raw sounds and physics. So my 16 year old son starts to call me a 'fossil'....He prefers the Japanese and Italian 'bling/bling' cars ;) So much fun when two generations come together at the Assetto Corsa tracks.

e.g Zandvoort, Porsche RSR / Monza 66, a classic Lotus but also Nürburgring, Merc AMG GT3 and BMW Z4 GT3. Too much fun combi's possible and I haven't try them all yet.

I don't know why...but the Japanese Pack really didn't do anything for me. Well, I guess the Nissan 370Z NISMO is a car I really like. There is certainly nothing wrong with the MX-5 Cup, but I don't think I've driven it since the release of the JapPack.

Currently favorite track is the Targa Florio, no real favorite car but I prefer them old and slow.

The IOM circuit with a Porsche gt3 cup car. I'm really looking forward to the targa florio with the RSR as well.

I must admit, I prefer the modern cars and tracks as well however I'd prefer if the modern tracks had less forgiving run off areas.

I really love the Porsche Cayman GT4, Audi R8 LMS Ultra, BMW M4. Also started taking to some of the classic cars. Love the growl of the F1 John Player Special Lotus. That car isn't half twitchy!
The Lotus 720 is quite fun as well as the Lotus 49.

Also started enjoying the Escorts. Nice power sliding in those cars let alone having to really focus and alter your braking so you do not lock. Quite fun.

I also really love Vallelunga and Zandvoort. Really love Spa but don't like the modern circuit. Would love it if we had the one with the old bus stop.

I've been in the MX-5 cars quite a lot. They can be fun and bit hard if too fast into the corner as that weight transfer can bite hard with snap oversteer. Most times that doesn't always happen but those cars can be quite fun.

Those MX-5 cars you really need to be consistent since if you foul up you have to be perfectly consistent or you wont catch up with the grid.

Shocking though I still haven't been in every car yet.

Ferrari 488 GT3 at Spa
McLaren F1 GTR at Imola
Porsche 911 GT1 at Monza
BMW Z4 GT3 at Brands Hatch
and so on...

I LOVE european GT cars on european tracks...

Imola, Monza, Spa, Nurburgring, Silverstone,... all these tracks are a blast and Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, McLaren,.. all have amazing GT cars to have lot of fun hotlapping on them...

Only had AC 2 days but these are my favourite combo's so far:
Ferrari FXXK @ Monza & Nordschliefe
McLaren F1 GTR @ Vallelunga Classic
Ford GT40 @ Monza 1966
Ferrari 458 GT2 @ Zandvoort
Alfa Romeo GTA @ Silverstone 1967
Ferrari 312T @ Monza 1966 Road Course
Alfa Romeo 155 2.5 V6 TI @ Mugello
Ferrari 458 Italia @ Imola
McLaren P1 @ Black Cat County
Chevrolet Corvette C7.R @ Spa
Abarth 500 Assetto Corse @ Brands Hatch

McLaren F1 GTR, Nurb GP-GT.

I wanted to love this car but was always frustrated with locking up brakes and the wonky auto-blip. Thanks to the encouragement of @Mike_grpA and @35mm both issues are rectified. I did a brake pedal bumper mod on my stock T300 pedals and learned to enjoy blipping the throttle on downshift myself (awkward at first with paddles.)

Good to know! 👍
