Can't wait to try the AE86 as well.Since the new dlc : Toyota AE86 Tuned @ Black Cat County Short
Ahh... the ole Lotus 49! 415hp, 500kg, 1960's brake & tire technology, what could possibly go wrong? Every single one of those drivers should be locked up in a mental institution. Those men were warriors. 👍IMO the Lotus 49 represents the pinnacle of racing cars. Fast, awesome sounding, with high performance acceleration, braking & cornering, but twitchy & demanding to drive. It shows off AC's physics & FFB at their best. In comparison, the modern supercars & the GT cars seem very bland to me.

As much as I don't like driving the newer open-wheel cars, mainly because they're just too fast for me, I think you're right... The older open-wheel cars really do blow your mind with the physics/FFB. I swear, when I go over the driveable curbs it seems like I can feel suspension in action. Such an experience... And then I usually crash directly into a wall.
And then there is the sound of those old cars..
Just what I was thinking. That Clubsport feels like it was made for the Ring. Great fun! And racing the AI there is also a lot more enjoyable than in some other cars. Nicely balanced.
I don't know why...but the Japanese Pack really didn't do anything for me. Well, I guess the Nissan 370Z NISMO is a car I really like. There is certainly nothing wrong with the MX-5 Cup, but I don't think I've driven it since the release of the JapPack.I like the classic tracks and cars with raw sounds and physics. So my 16 year old son starts to call me a 'fossil'....He prefers the Japanese and Italian 'bling/bling' cars So much fun when two generations come together at the Assetto Corsa tracks.
e.g Zandvoort, Porsche RSR / Monza 66, a classic Lotus but also Nürburgring, Merc AMG GT3 and BMW Z4 GT3. Too much fun combi's possible and I haven't try them all yet.

Good to know! 👍McLaren F1 GTR, Nurb GP-GT.
I wanted to love this car but was always frustrated with locking up brakes and the wonky auto-blip. Thanks to the encouragement of @Mike_grpA and @35mm both issues are rectified. I did a brake pedal bumper mod on my stock T300 pedals and learned to enjoy blipping the throttle on downshift myself (awkward at first with paddles.)
