hehehe , never heard it described like that before!
I'm re-reading the books again now, about 3/4 through "Restaurant" used to read them religiously once a year, but realised its now been 7 years since I last attacked them!
Shame the great man passed away, since they're now going to make the film finally. Not sure how it'll turn out without his influence though, maybe as Marvin puts it "Very badly I suspect!"
Red Dwarf film is also in the making in Australia at the moment too....

Anyway, better mention the Shigeno Trueno and at least one of the EVOs before we're accused of being off topic.

I alway thought "Initial D" meant, like, 'D' is the initial for 'Drift'

But then, anime series have horrible names IMHO. Great animation etc.. Just really unfortunate names.

Apparently Initial D and Project.D's D's both have the same meaning... but, like Ryousuke said, what that 'D' means will probably be found out at the end of Fourth Stage.

but i dont think the d in project d means the same thing... when put into context.. the D could also stand for defeat or distruction... or something.. well, thats what i think after seeing the translated version of episode 4.. i havent finnished downloading 3 yet
